LOUISE MCCLELLAND APPOINTED AS CEO OF DOWDS GROUP
Upskilling in energy-efficient technologies is a top priority over the next 12 months for a quarter of NICEIC-certified businesses. One of the UK’s leading providers of electrotechnical training courses and qualifications, delivering 1,313 training courses to almost 7,400 delegates in 2024 alone, NICEIC has conducted a survey of over 500 certified businesses. While 25% identified green energy and emerging technologies as a top training priority, 14% said that no training was required and a further 8% said keeping up with regulatory requirements such as BS 7671 was their most significant training requirement. Alex Robinson, Head of Product Development at NICEIC, said, “With the deadline for the UK’s ambitious net-zero targets fast approaching, the electrotechnical industry will be at the forefront of the push to increase energy efficiency and lower the carbon footprint of our homes, workplaces and industrial settings. “In line with this growing training need, NICEIC has introduced a wide range of courses and qualifications designed to get electrical contractors educated and confident in tackling all kinds of energy-efficient installations.” www.niceic.com GREEN TECH IS TOP TRAINING PRIORITY FOR 25% OF BUSINESSES
