Market leader Scan Alarms has provided electronic fire and security systems to the domestic and commercial sectors for more than 40 years. With its commercial projects spanning education, retail and industrial buildings, among recent commissions was a comprehensive installation of an integrated solution (victor) at the Harland & Wolff shipyard. The Mallusk-based firm provided CCTV, access control and fire protection and detection equipment for the project. solutions to our clients across Ireland north and south.” Chris McClung, Integrated Systems Specialist, added, “We were recently contacted by Harland & Wolff who were looking to improve their life safety and security systems and accepted our proposal for an integrated solution using victor as a frontend software programme. “Harland & Wolff, established in 1861, has been a cornerstone of Belfast’s maritime heritage. Famed for constructing over 1,700 vessels including the RMS Titanic, the shipyard is distinguished by its iconic gantry cranes, Samson and Goliath, which dominate the city’s skyline. These cranes,
