If you or someone you know needs help, get in touch with the Irish Electrical Benevolent Association (IEBA). IEBA acts as a network within our industry, offering practical help and support to people who suffer changed circumstances, be it from illness or other factors. The association continues to make a real difference to the lives of electrical industry employees and their families. Through your help, IEBA can identify, assess and assist those in in the electrical industry who are in real need, anywhere in the country. Each member of the industry needs to be an ambassador for the association – you are our eyes and our ears – so please be active, be aware and keep us informed. To bring any case of hardship or difficulty to the attention of the IEBA Committee, contact any committee member or put some brief details in writing using a simple form on the website. Please include the name of the person concerned and the company they worked for within the electrical industry. All enquiries are, of course, treated in the strictest of confidence. A busy schedule of social events is getting underway to raise much-needed funds for the Irish Electrical Benevolent Association (IEBA). Kicking off with two golf events and a day at the races in Leopardstown, IEBA’s fundraising calendar for the year will also include the return of its successful Dash of the Derg cycling event first introduced in 2024 and its popular annual winter ball. Founded in 2001, IEBA extends support to members of the electrical industry and their families experiencing difficulties with, for example, bereavement, depression, terminal illness, accidental death, special treatments or retraining. Help is extended to anyone who is, or has been, engaged in the trade as well as widows, widowers and immediate dependents of that person with a need for financial assistance.

With your help, awareness and support, IEBA can do more to assist industry people and their families who are struggling. 2025 fundraising events • April 10: IEBA Leinster Golf Day Killeen Castle Golf Course, Co Meath • May 11: IEBA Race Day Leopardstown Racecourse, Dublin • May 14: IEBA Munster Golf Day Lee Valley Golf & Country Club, Co Cork • September TBC: IECC Dash of the Derg Killaloe, Co Clare • November 21: IEBA Winter Ball, Intercontinental Hotel, Dublin
