ELECTRIC HEATERS
With models from 750 to 2,000 watts, the CND range has power sufficient even for larger spaces.
STEIBEL ELTRON’S PREMIUM CND HEATERS HAVE BOTH RADIANT AND CONVECTOR ELEMENTS TO PROVIDE AN INSTANT, LUXURIOUS, ALL-ROUND PERCEPTION OF WARMTH…
Duo heaters: why have one type of electric heat when you can have two?
The heaters offer both radiant and convector elements.
Electric heaters typically work through one form of heat transfer, either convection or radiation. Convector heaters work by heating the air in a room and are good at warming even large rooms, when appropriately sized, by creating air currents that circulate that heat (sometimes using a fan to speed up the process). Radiant heaters, on the other hand, work by directly warming the people and things in a room, in the same way as a sun shining on them would. Radiant heaters provide almost instant warmth, unlike convectors, which
need time to bring a whole room up to temperature, but do have a more limited reach and so are usually only recommended for small spaces. John Felgate, head of Technical at STIEBEL ELTRON, said, “Both types of heat provide their own sensation of comfort. Convection heat ensures a uniform feeling of warmth in the air, but will take longer to heat up the surfaces of a room. So even if most of you is warm, touching cold surfaces may still disrupt your comfort. “Radiant heaters will quickly heat up both you directly and nearby surfaces so that they are warm to touch, providing that deep, toasty feeling you get from being in a sun-warmed space, but may leave cold spots out of their line of sight. “One of the reasons a real fire feels so comforting is that it provides both types of heat. That’s why our premium CND heaters have both radiant and convector elements to provide an instant, luxurious, all-round perception of warmth. Ideal for new build or retrofit, they offer the sensation of cosiness that makes a home feel welcoming and special.” With models from 750 to 2,000 watts, the CND range has power sufficient
even for larger spaces. In addition to the advanced controls with intelligent energy saving functions that are included in all STIEBEL ELTRON convectors, such as turning down the heat if an open window is detected, this luxury heater has additional features. For example, a consumption indicator helps to manage energy usage and a built-in motion sensor detects if there is no longer anyone in the room and then automatically lowers the temperature for even more efficiency. With the highest build quality, aesthetics and a slim profile, the CND range is the premium choice for electric heat.
