“Last November, when we were considering which independent wholesalers to approach about joining the IEBG in 2025, these qualities were paramount in our choice of Clonee Wholesale Electrical, Estuary Wholesale Supplies and Monaghan Electrical Wholesale. All three new members have settled in seamlessly and it is already evident that they share our values. The IEBG is now as strong as it has ever been, and we look forward to the year ahead with great optimism.” Ken said, “The landscape of the electrical industry has changed dramatically over the last 12 months. Acquisitions, mergers and new branch openings have been the order of the day, and this trend is likely to continue in 2025. “In this environment, IEBG will more than likely keep its options open for 2026, but, for now, we are delighted with our new line up and we look forward to working even more closely with our suppliers to provide our customers with the highest possible level of service.”

arrangements with 60 suppliers, almost all of whom are based on the island of Ireland. “We pride ourselves on supporting local suppliers,” said Ken. “It suits our business model, which is to offer an off-the-shelf service to our customers and a quick turnaround time for special orders, which is more easily achieved with suppliers based here rather than abroad.” IEBG comprises a mixture of small, medium and large electrical wholesalers, but each member is well-established in their geographical area and has been servicing their customers for many years. Knowledge and experience are key in this industry and IEBG members have these qualities in abundance. Peter Curran, Group Chairman, said, “Customer satisfaction is the key element for all of our members. We would like to think that, as proprietor- owned businesses, each IEBG branch offers its customers a personalised service that is second to none.
