Partnerships that bring peace Our global citizenship partner is PeaceTech Lab : a non- pro¿t organisation that works in conÀict zones around the world to promote peace through technology, media and data. They tackle corruption, racial injustice, misogyny and violent extremism in some of the most dangerous places on earth, and we’re incredibly proud to support them. Right now, we’re working together on a global hate speech pro bono project, putting together a report that analyses what is considered hate speech and which laws cover it. We’ll then collaborate with PeaceTech Lab to see how these ¿ndings can be used in their work going forward. Whether it’s pro bono legal advice, fundraising or skills- based volunteering, our partnership means everyone at Hogan Lovells – regardless of background, position or location – can serve as peacebuilders in a time of signi¿cant unrest. That’s not just game-changing work, it’s life-changing.
Putting the social in enterprise As part of your induction, we’ll introduce you to HL BaSE , our thriving social enterprise legal practice. HL BaSE delivers training to junior lawyers on business and social impact issues, and works together with corporate clients to provide legal advice to social enterprises. Through it, you’ll learn about the fundamentals of business and what drives clients’ big decisions. You’ll learn how to be more entrepreneurial so you can win more work, and you’ll discover how important the way we conduct ourselves is to the ¿rm’s success. Even before you join us, you can discover more about our world through the HL BaSE Legal Learning Hub : a virtual programme full of insightful presentations and workshops.
