Recently, we became a founding partner for the Rare Vantage platform, a revolutionary new software that aims to break down the arti¿cial barriers that some students face when entering the legal profession. The Sutton Trust We’re a founding sponsor of the Pathways to Law (for sixth- form students) and Pathways to Law Plus (for university students) initiatives. These programmes are run by The Sutton Trust to provide opportunities for state school students interested in law, and who will be the ¿rst in their family to attend university. Students come and do work experience with us, learning all about our world and building up some vital skills along the way. We’re also a programme partner for Pathways to Law Plus, and ŏer work experience and residential training to ¿rst-year university students.
Together with Aspiring Solicitors, we’re helping to make the legal profession more accessible to those from under- represented groups and low socio-economic backgrounds. We’ve engaged with hundreds of law and non-law students across events, open days, commercial awareness competitions, work experience and mentoring programmes. MyPlus Since 2011 we’ve taken part in ‘Explore the Law’: an annual half-day event run in partnership with MyPlus for students with a disability or health condition. Alongside other leading law ¿rms, we participate in panel discussions, presentations, skills sessions, workshops and networking sessions to help students feel more con¿dent in applying for a career in law. Rare Recruitment By partnering with Rare Recruitment, we’re able to reach out to talented Black, Asian and ethnic minority students and those from backgrounds of low social mobility. How?
