Vacation schemes
These schemes are the perfect launch pad for a legal career. In fact, around three quarters of the trainee solicitors who join us each year have taken part in one.
Working alongside approachable partners, associates and trainees, you’ll roll up your sleeves and get involved in major client projects across our practice groups and sometimes across jurisdictions. You’ll actively contribute to the ¿rm’s progress, treated like one of the team: valued, recognised and constantly supported. Day to day, you could draft documents, attend team and client meetings, do legal research and, where applicable, attend court. It’s hands-on learning complemented by interactive workshops, training sessions, discussions and fun social events. At the end of your scheme, you’ll interview for a training contract with us – having experienced exactly what it’s like to be a Hogan Lovells lawyer and business advisor to world-leading clients.

– Experience across our practice groups: Corporate and Finance, Global Regulatory and Intellectual Property, Media and Technology (IPMT), Litigation Arbitration and Employment (LAE) – Know-how from interactive workshops and training sessions on topics like advocacy, corporate law and ¿nance law – Training in presentation skills and the chance to use them by completing a client pitch presentation project with other vacation scheme students – First-hand insights from senior leaders about the vision, strategy and direction of the ¿rm – Exposure to plenty of networking opportunities with potential future colleagues.
