It’s Found in a Relentless Pursuit of a Better Future Success Isn’t in the Past

December is often a time for reflection, when many look back on their business, professional, and personal accomplishments of the past year. At Dellutri Law Group, we don’t have time to look back, because we are too busy creating the future. Our clients are not defined by what happened in the past, but by what they are going to do in the future. Our relentless focus on forward momentum stems from the fact that we want to help people not only get back to where they were, but to remind them that the future is so bright they gotta wear shades.

2019 is going to bring about big changes at the firm that will increase our level of service, help us reach more people, and expand our overall effect on the community. Our firm plans on adding attorneys, expanding practice areas, and focusing even more on our clients’ futures. It’s easy to stagnate and be content with where you’re at, but if you know us, you understand that complacency just isn’t in our genetic code. We’re always looking for ways to improve so that every client knows they can refer their loved ones to our firm with confidence. We are different. Many attorneys will focus on taking the client through “the motions” until their matter is concluded. Once the legal issues are resolved, other firms end the relationship and move on to the next person. That’s the norm, but no one ever made a difference in the world by going through “the motions.” It’s this attitude that makes us successful. When we reach our goals, the clients (family members) reap the benefits, so this year, we are upping the ante again. Dellutri Law Group built its foundation by asking questions and listening to our clients’ feedback. There’s an extensive plan in place for the future, but without feedback, it’s easy to become myopic. That’s just silly. We ask our clients

One way to help us do that is to leave a testimonial, letting us hear what we’re doing right. Another way is to shoot us an email so we can improve our quality of work. If we’re truly family, we want to know both ends of the equation. A one-sided relationship is always bound to fail; we want open lines of communication so meaningful dialogue can occur. Christmas Tours

Get Away and Be Festive This Holiday Season

In a moving tribute, the town’s residents also write responses to children’s letters to Kris Kringle himself. It’s impossible to avoid holiday cheer in this town. DISNEY WORLD’S CHRISTMAS MAGIC What better place to celebrate the most magical time of the year than in the most magical place on Earth? Walt Disney World’s halls are decked to the max with a parade, gingerbread homes, strings of lights, and festive parties. Plus, costs to visit Disney World can be cheaper during the Christmas season, so keep an eye out for a vacation steal.

There’s nothing quite like the magical lights of the holiday season, and some destinations in the U.S. have perfected the craft of holiday decoration. If you’re looking to get away this December and still engage in seasonal festivities, add one of these places to your must-visit list. NEW YORK CITY’S ROCKEFELLER CENTER New York City is an iconic location for Christmastime. The scene is like a Hallmark card: Ice-skating lovers whiz past miles of twinkling lights underneath an exceptionally tall and amply decorated tree. The tree is specially selected by Rockefeller Center’s landscaping crews, who scout out trees years in advance. It remains lit from November to early January, so you have plenty of time to check it out. RANCH CHRISTMAS IN JACKSON, WYOMING Jackson, Wyoming, takes its frontier culture to the next level during the Christmas season. All year, the city proudly displays four elk antler arches, but around the holidays, they are lit up with white string lights and flanked by snow. The Christmas decorations and lights surrounding the archway make for a Western-themed holiday pulled right out of a John Wayne classic. For holiday admirers looking for a unique spin, Jackson has you covered. YEARLY YULETIDE IN SANTA CLAUS, INDIANA This one’s for the Christmas lover. If you can’t make it out to Santa Claus, Indiana, this holiday season, you can still celebrate Christmas in this tiny Midwestern town in January, June, or even October. Embracing its unique name, the town boasts a museum, holiday shopping center, and a Christmas theme park.

HEAR FROM A HAPPY CLIENT

“I am so thankful for Dellutri Law Group and the amazing group of people they have serving clients. Amanda Downing is the best personal injury attorney I have ever encountered. She has a huge heart for her clients and is incredible at what she does. My son was in a horrific car accident in 2016, and to me, Amanda will be a lifelong friend of our family. The value and care she brought

our family was over the top. Amanda told us from the beginning to focus on my son’s health and let her handle the rest — and that she did! It was a group effort with Carmen Dellutri and David Fineman also contributing a great deal to our family. Thank you, all!”

Welcome, Chris Santospirito

We have exciting news! Allow us to introduce our newest Dellutri Law Group family member! Attorney Chris Santospirito is joining us as a family law attorney! Chris is a Fort Myers local and has ties to our Orlando location. Chris graduated from Bishop Verot High School, which is located one road away from our Fort Myers office. His is in good company as an alumnus of Bishop Verot, as both of our bankruptcy attorneys (David Lampley and Jeff Lampley) graduated from there! He also loves to watch baseball (he previously played local ball), play retro games, and work on his car.

your everyday divorce battle, but rather a legal process that enables couples who have decided that achieving a fair agreement can be done outside of court. Couples who are going into a marriage with a prenup are good candidates for collaborative family law. Prenups shouldn’t be combative; they should be a collaboration, a joint effort of what’s fair and not fair. Another example would be couples who have chosen to amicably separate or end their marriage If you follow us on social media, please help us welcome him to the team!

Chris’ primary practice area is known as collaborative family law. It’s not

Holiday Roast Prime Rib

Ashley Baker, formally known here as Ashley Griffith or AG, has been an important part of our family for over 10 years! Her title is legal assistant, but Ashley is so much more. She knows how to easily maneuver from team leader to team player at a moment’s notice. Ashley describes her primary responsibility as “helping clients who are trying to save their homes.” It’s Ashley’s big heart that keeps her focused every day. She says that her biggest challenge on the job

Ingredients • 1 bone-in prime rib (6–7 pounds) • 8 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

• 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

• 2 cups red wine • 4 cups beef stock Directions 1. 30 minutes before cooking, remove roast from fridge and let sit until it reaches room temperature. 2. Heat oven to 350 F. 3. Make small slits in prime rib and stuff with slices of garlic. Liberally season with salt and pepper. 4. Place a rack inside a roasting pan and roast prime rib for 2 hours, until medium-rare. 5. To make au jus, place roasting pan with drippings from roast over 2 burners on high. Add wine and scrape pan as liquid reduces. Add beef stock and cook until reduced by half. Finally, sprinkle in thyme. 6. Slice roast and serve topped with au jus.

Ashley Baker smiles with two happy members of the Dellutri Law Group family.

“You’ve asked me before what it is that I love about my job. It’s that. Not the flowers but the friendship. Every time they stop by to see me, it makes my day!” –Ashley Baker

is trying to balance the personal nature of her work because she really empathizes with each and every client’s story. It is her true motivation.

When Ashley is not helping clients, she can be found with her new husband and her gigantic extended family. “I love spending time with my family and friends. I love going to the movies. I love monkeys and birthday cakes. People say I’m a workaholic. And more than anything, I love a good story with a happy ending.”

Everything You Need for an Ugly-Sweater Celebration

UGLY-SWEATER PARTY

If you know us here at the Dellutri Law Group (DLG), you know we love a friendly holiday competition in the office. You might remember our DLG Ugly Sweater Competition (pictured below) from last year that is going down in the books as one of our best competitions yet! People speculate that the first ugly-sweater party took place in Vancouver, Canada, back in 2001. Since then, the trend has become one of the most popular holiday party themes. Come Thanksgiving, you’ll start to see racks in every clothing store lined with hideous sweaters. If you’re ready to jump on the ugly- sweater-party bandwagon this Christmas season, here are a few things to keep in mind. YOUR VERY OWN UGLY SWEATER Ugly sweaters come in all shapes, sizes, and prices. You can head to H&M or a local thrift store to pick one up. However, if you have a sweater that’s been cozied up for years in the back of your closet or drawer, now is your chance to give it new life. Arm yourself with a hot glue gun, thread, and needle, and patch Santa, Rudolph, or Frosty on it. Let it be known that an ugly sweater isn’t complete without sparkles, beads, and sequins galore. WHAT EXACTLY IS AN UGLY-SWEATER PARTY? It’s rather simple. Slip on your favorite Christmas sweater, gather all your friends and family members, make sure there are plenty of

refreshments and games, and you’re guaranteed to have a top-tier party. A few ugly-sweater-themed games that should be on the agenda include the following: an ugly-gift exchange, which is similar to a white-elephant exchange except using the gaudiest gifts you can find; an ugly-photo booth, complete with terrible, tacky props; and, of course, a prize for the ugliest sweater. This is the only time of year when donning a lurid red sweater with a stuffed Santa sewn on the front is considered trendy. So, adorn yourself in the frumpiest, tackiest sweater you can find, and have some fun this December!

P.S. The Dellutri Law Group will have another competition this season, so make sure to follow us on social media so you can vote!
