102 100 Democrats expected to add two seats in the Georgia House of Representatives GEORGIA HOUSE In early spring, Democrats were projected to add three to four seats in the Georgia House of Representatives. When Kamala Harris became the Democratic nominee for president, some thought Democrats could add up to six or seven seats. That did not happen. While four or so races are so close a recount may be required, the hope of a significant increase in pro- public education legislators this year, however, seems to have been lost. House Democrats are projected to add two members to their numbers as of the morning of November 14 . If a race’s margin is less than or equal to 0.5%, a candidate may request a recount. Such request must be made within two business days of the results being certified, which would be November 12.
