The NEA Mental Health Program is offered in partnership with AbleTo, an evidence-based mobile app care solution created by clinical experts that allows members to access on-demand help for stress, anxiety and depression.

Daily Mood Tracking: Relieving stress, anxiety, or depression starts with noting how you feel. AbleTo mood tracking, daily reminders, and health tracking tools guide you to monitor your emotions, see positive and negative influences, and make changes that can help. Tools: When feelings or life situations get in the way of your happiness, AbleTo helps you change your outlook and get on a better path with tools to calm your mind and ways to redirect negative thoughts. Assessments: A key part of CBT is understanding how actions and feelings are related. Based on your mood data, AbleTo progress assessments show you connections between your experiences, activities, and emotions. What is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)? Cognitive behavioral therapy is a form of psychotherapy that has been shown to be especially effective in treating stress, anxiety, and depression. CBT is focused on changing unhelpful cognitive distortions by educating the individual on the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and empowering them to make positive changes. How does AbleTo protect my data? AbleTo’s privacy policy can be found via this link: https://www.ableto.com/privacy/. Is AbleTo available in languages other than English? Yes, AbleTo is available in English and Spanish. To set your language, click on the ‘Me’ tab, then click the account cog in the upper right. Click ‘Language’ then select your preferred language. I signed up on the AbleTo website but didn’t get the verification email. Please check your junk and spam folders for the welcome email. If it’s not there, try adding help@ ableto.com to your contact list and re-sending. If you still haven’t received after a few minutes, please contact help@ableto.com and we can manually validate your email. What should I do if I’m having an issue with the AbleTo app? AbleTo is committed to an excellent user experience, and we want to resolve any issues quickly. What is AbleTo? AbleTo is an evidence-backed mobile care solution created by clinical experts that allows you to access on-demand help for stress, anxiety, and depression. AbleTo uses evidence-informed techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) that are designed to work together to help you learn how to feel happier. Our mission is to help people build the life skills they need anytime, anywhere, and in any way they choose. What benefits are available to NEA members? Through the NEA Mental Health Program, AbleTo provides no-cost access to AbleTo Self Care+ to anyone who creates an AbleTo account. You can continue to access the Self Care+ tools through the web, or via the App. Simply download the AbleTo App by going to the App Store or Google Play and log in using the same details you used when you created your account. • AbleTo Self Care+ digital tools are available at no cost to NEA members. • Self Care+ access includes: Daily mood tracking, • In addition to the free Self Care+ program provided through your NEA Member Benefits, you may be eligible for AbleTo Coaching and/or Therapy services through your insurance provider. AbleTo is contracted with many insurance plans, and yours could be one of them. It’s easy to check. Simply navigate to the Find Care tab in the Self Care+ app and follow the prompts. If you are eligible, you will be able to schedule an appointment online to meet with someone. Please note that you would be responsible for any copay, deductible, or coinsurance, but your insurance company will pay for the rest. Who should use AbleTo? AbleTo offers on-demand help for stress, anxiety, and depression. Assessments are like a thermometer to measure your temperature over time and see if you have a fever. Assessments alternate to measure and provide a score for your anxiety and depression levels, as well as your overall wellness. These assessments are not clinical, but give users a benchmark of where they start, and help them measure progress over time. How long should AbleTo be used? AbleTo is available whenever you need it. Some AbleTo users log in daily to track their mood and health habits. Others simply open it up when they’re having a bad
