At Ramblin Jackson, we’ve always been about one thing: helping landscaping businesses like yours grow and thrive. Today, I’m thrilled to share three major updates that will elevate how we partner with you to attract more leads, close more sales, and ultimately, grow your business. When I founded Ramblin Jackson, I never wanted to settle for “good enough.” I wanted to create tools and strategies that would empower you to build businesses that not only succeed but also dominate in your local markets. With that in mind, here’s what’s new. First, I’m excited to announce I’m writing the second edition of my book, “The Tree of Good Fortune: The Landscaper’s Ultimate Guide to Direct Response Sales and Marketing.” This book has already helped countless landscaping business owners implement proven marketing strategies, and this new edition will take it to the next level. I’m packing it with updated techniques and insights we’ve tested over the last 15 years at Ramblin Jackson and stories from real campaigns that have transformed businesses. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your sales process, generate higher-quality leads, or stand out in your market, this book will be your playbook. Stay tuned for its release — it’s going to be a game-changer. Next, we’re introducing a new service that will revolutionize how you approach marketing: Seasonal Marketing Campaigns. Landscaping is a seasonal business, and your marketing should reflect that. These campaigns are designed to align with the unique needs of your region and calendar. Whether it’s booking those crucial spring clean-ups, maximizing the summer rush, or keeping your name top- of-mind during the slower winter months, these campaigns will keep your marketing relevant and impactful all year long. And here’s the best part: You won’t have to worry about the guesswork. We’ll handle it all, ensuring your business stays ahead of the curve and ready for whatever the season brings.
To your success,
JACK JOSTES, CEO RAMBLIN JACKSON

RING THE BELL SPOTLIGHT HOW AARON WOLFE TURNED TIME INTO OPPORTUNITY
We are well aware that running a landscaping business is no easy feat. The to-do lists are endless, the days are long, and sometimes, there’s never enough time to focus on what matters. Ramblin Jackson Wild Frontier Client, Aaron Wolfe, owner of Wickenburg Landscape, knows that feeling well. But with a few intentional changes to his approach, Aaron found a way to reclaim more than an hour of his day — every day. That small shift has made a big difference, not just for his schedule but for how he leads his business. “Time used to be my biggest challenge,” Aaron shared. “I’d get bogged down in meetings that ran late, conversations that drifted off-topic, and days that felt rushed but unproductive. By the end of the day, I realized I could have done more if only I’d managed my time better.”
Aaron wanted more than just time — he wanted focus. “Now, every meeting has a purpose and an endpoint,” he explained. “Whether it’s a client consultation or a team check-in, I open with, ‘We’ve got an hour — are we aligned on that?’ Then, halfway through, I’ll check in: ‘Are we on track to finish everything you wanted?’ It’s made a massive difference.” These changes didn’t happen overnight. They came as part of Aaron’s partnership with our Ramblers here at Ramblin Jackson. Together, we worked to create a framework for running Wickenburg Landscape more efficiently. The goal wasn’t just to make Aaron’s life easier — it was to help him create a business that felt less overwhelming and more rewarding.
framework for running our business more efficiently,” Aaron said. “From time-blocking to streamlined communication, they’ve helped us build systems that save time and reduce stress.” Aaron’s journey reminds us that the way we use our time can have ripple effects across our entire business. At Ramblin Jackson, we’re grateful to play even a small part in Aaron’s story. Aaron’s success isn’t just about finding an extra hour — it’s about using that time to focus on what really matters: his clients, his team, and his passion for the work he does. Congratulations, Aaron, on everything you’ve achieved so far. Your dedication and creativity remind us all of the power of intentionality — and we’re honored to support you as you keep ringing the bell.

Struggling to Hire?
Give Your Recruiting a Spring Cleanup paths, like “Start as a Laborer, Become a Crew Leader in Two Years.” When job seekers see a workplace that values growth, they’re more likely to apply — and stick around. 4. Respond quickly and keep it clear. Speed is essential when it comes to hiring. Many field staff prefer texting over email, so adapt your communication to meet them where they are. Tools like Team Engine make it easy to streamline communication and even send texts in Spanish for bilingual candidates. Being quick, clear, and accessible gives you an edge in locking in top talent. Your job ads, website, and communication all work together to position your company as the employer of choice. For more tips or help to create a standout employer brand, visit RamblinJackson.com/recruiting . Let’s make your company the place where A-Players want to work!
Hiring top talent in today’s competitive labor market can feel like an uphill battle, especially in landscaping. That’s why our CEO, Jack, recently took the stage at the NCNLA Green & Growin’ conference in Greensboro, North Carolina, to present “The Landscape Owner’s Ultimate Guide to Recruiting A-Players.” In his talk, Jack shared practical, proven strategies for attracting, hiring, and retaining top-tier team members. If you couldn’t attend, don’t worry — we’re breaking down some of the most actionable takeaways here to help you give your recruiting efforts a much-needed spring refresh. 1. Define your Hell Yes Employee. The first step to hiring better is knowing exactly whom you’re looking for. Are you looking for someone team-oriented, eager to learn, or with leadership potential? Write it down and tailor your job postings to reflect those qualities. The clearer you are about
what you want, the more likely you are to attract candidates who fit your culture.
2. Highlight what makes you different. Let’s face it: Most landscaping job ads are painfully generic. Phrases like “competitive wages” and “must lift 50 pounds” won’t make your company stand out. Instead, focus on what sets you apart. List specific benefits like paid time off, 401(k) matching, or even small perks like team-building events or Friday lunches. 3. Use employer branding to shine. Your website isn’t just for potential clients; it’s also a powerful recruiting tool. A well- designed “Careers” page can sell your company as a fantastic place to work. Employee testimonials — in English and Spanish — in both written and video formats, have proven to help attract Hell Yes Employees for both field staff and office positions. Outline clear career
