Hello there! I hope all is well and you’re having fun wherever you are. If you’re wondering where I am, you can probably find me working outside or exploring the great outdoors some other way. Not every 11-year-old kid enjoys being out of the house, but I love it! Being outside and working with my hands always makes me happy. Recently, I’ve been spending a lot of time working in the propagation area on my dad’s farm. I started this project over Christmas break by digging for irrigation, laying in the piping, and gluing everything together. It’s exciting to help create a nice, humid area for the plants, which are eventually put on trays with soil and a growth accelerator. My dad is also excited about what I’ve been doing, and he says I’m a very hard worker! He also calls me “an integral part of the operation,” which makes me very proud. I can’t wait to give a presentation on my work to my class at school, and I’m happy to be earning extra money while being out in nature and learning more about how to care for plants properly. Although I have a few years to go before I need to have a full-time career, I’m pretty sure I’m always going to work outside. It’s a good way to earn money and keep my body in good shape.
