Hugh Hoffman is a Partner at AGC Partners, focusing on HCIT, Life Sciences Technology, and Software out of the firm’s Minneapolis office. Hoffman is a 25-year technology M&A veteran who ran Piper Jaffray’s M&A practice in Soft- ware and Services for 8+ years before joining Craig-Hallum Capital Group in 2006, where he led their M&A practice. He has also worked at Dain Rauscher Corporation, where he started the firm’s software practice, and Dillon, Read and Co. in New York and London. Hugh holds a BSBA from the University of Denver and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Sam Larson, Vice President, Marketing, Bernoulli

Sam is the Vice President of Marketing at Bernoulli where he has worked since May of 2015. Sam is responsible for all global marketing activities, including brand management, strategic marketing, product management, downstream marketing, marketing communications and public relations. Prior to his current position, Sam had multiple roles at Draeger Medical including Vice President of Marketing in North America and Director of Global Segment Manage- ment. Previously, Sam has also held various marketing and business development leadership positions with Sono- site, Medical Data Electronics, Nidek, and Spacelabs Medical. Sam holds a BA in Communications from the Universi- ty of Washington, graduated from the Executive Leadership Development Program at IESE Business School (University of Navarra), and completed the Executive Management Excellence Program at Babson College. Anne DeGheest pioneered the HealthTech or Digital Health space as a healthcare executive, an entrepreneur, angel investor, corporate advisor and mentor capitalist. She is the founder of HealthTech Capital and MedStars. She organ- izes and moderates the HealthTech Conference on how to successfully build innovative HealthTech businesses and change healthcare delivery. Since she founded MedStars in 1986, she has been a corporate development advisor to large healthcare companies and a mentor capitalist specializing in investing and mentoring early stage companies in healthcare. Her life science portfolio companies have generated over $6 billion exits. Anne founded in 2010 HealthTech Capital, a group of private investors dedicated to funding and mentoring new "HealthTech" startups to decrease healthcare cost and empower patients. Anne holds a MBA from Harvard and a Master in Business Engi- neering from University of Brussels. Krijn is the Vice President of IT and Software Development at GreatCall where he has worked since 2007. Krijn leads a research and development team in creating new products, as well as adding features to existing products with a focus on software, infrastructure, and product development. He has also had other positions at GreatCall including Director of IT Development, and Senior Software Engineer. Previously, Krijn has held software positions at Deploy- ment Partners, Fox-IT, and I-Company. Krijn holds a BS in Electronics Engineering and Business from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and a MS in Computer Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Liz is a Director at Kaiser Permanente Ventures where she has worked since March 2015. Liz focuses on investments in healthcare IT, digital health, and technology-enabled services. Prior to her current position, Liz ran the health prac- tice at Imprint Capital, advising foundations and endowments on healthcare investments that aligned with their mis- sion interests. Previously, Liz was a New Product Launch Consultant at TriZetto Group, Product Manager at Advisory Board Company, and Product Manager at Outcome. Liz is currently on the board at Chrono Therapeutics, Big Health, and Omada Health. Liz holds a BA from Princeton University, along with a Masters of Public Health and an MBA both from the University of California Berkeley. Dean is a serial entrepreneur, healthcare executive and start-up advisor known for commercializing new, innovative healthcare information technologies in the areas of pharmaceutical eMarketing, electronic health records, remote pa- tient monitoring and big data analytics. Dean is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Sentrian where he has worked since 2012. Dean led Sentrian to create the first remote patient intelligence platform leveraging the revolution in biosensors and machine learning with the objective of eliminating all preventable hospitalization. Dean is also a Partner at Frost Data Capital where he is working to change the venture capital and incubator model for big data startups. Furthermore, Dean is a Startup Advisor to Singularity University where he helps startup teams develop suc- cessful healthcare business models, raise capital, build healthy leadership teams and execute the lean startup meth- odology. Prior to his current positions, Dean was Chief Business Development Officer at Physicians Interactive, Vice President of Sales at Vital Data Technology, Senior Vice President at Allscripts, and Pharmaceutical eMarketing Pio- neer at Lathian Health. Dean holds a BS in Marketing from the University of the Pacific, an MBA from Pepperdine University, and graduated from the Exponential Medicine Executive Program at Singularity University.
