Maria Lewis Kussmaul, Co-Founder, Partner, AGC Partners

Maria is a Co-Founder and Partner at AGC Partners, responsible for leading the firm’s investment banking efforts in the IT security sector. Prior to co-founding AGC in August 2003, Maria was a Co-Founder, Gen- eral and Venture Partner at Castile Ventures, a seed and early stage venture capital firm. Maria’s Wall Street career has spanned three firms – Smith Barney, Shearson Lehman, and Cowen & Co., culminating as global head of Cowen’s data networks and Internet investment banking activities. Maria holds a BA in Economics from Rutgers University, an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, and a Chartered Fi- nancial Analyst designation.

Bob Ackerman, Founder, Managing Director, Allegis Capital

Bob is a Managing Director at Allegis Capital, a firm he founded in 1996, that focuses on Cyber Security, Data Analytics, IoT, and Virtualization. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of CyberGRX, RedOwl Analytics, E8 Security, and is an Investor in vArmour, Shape Security, and Bracket Computing. Previously, Bob has served on the Board of Directors of Driverside, Solera Netowrks, StepUp Commerce, IronPort Systems, LGC Wireless, Infogear, and Comparnet. Prior to Allegis Capital, Bob was the President and Chief Executive Officer of UniSoft Systems. Ackerman received a BS in Computer Science from the University of San Francisco. Mike is a Managing Director at Sunstone Partners, a firm he co-founded in 2015 that is focused on tech- nology-enabled services companies. Biggee also serves on the Board of Directors of Host Analytics, Alien- Vault, BlueCat Networks, and HyTrust. He has previously served on the Board of Directors of Voltage Se- curity, Fruition Partners, Prolexic Technologies, Arxan Technologies, and Accelacom. Prior to Sunstone Partners, Biggee served as a Managing Director at Trident Capital from 2005 to 2015, focusing on growth equity investments in Cybersecurity, Cloud and Enterprise IT. Previously, Biggee served as a Senior Asso- ciate at Dolphin Equity partners, in Technology Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch, and as a Chemical Engineer for both Procter & Gamble and General Mills. Biggee received a BS in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. Kris serves as the CEO of Sophos, which he joined in 2012. At Sophos, Hagerman is responsible for all aspects of Sophos’ strategic direction and business operations. Prior to Sophos, Hagerman was the Chief Executive Officer of Corel from 2008 to 2012. Previously, Hagerman has served as a Group President of Data Center Management at Symantec, an Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Storage and Server Management Group at VERITAS Software, a Senior Advisor to Vector Capital, the Chief Exec- utive Officer of Affinia and BigBook, and a Product Manager for Silicon Graphics. Hagerman began his career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey. Manish Sarin is responsible for Proofpoint’s acquisition strategy and execution worldwide. He brings more than 15 years of experience in defining inorganic growth strategy, identifying and evaluating acquisition targets, structuring and negotiating transactions and helping integrate the acquired companies. Prior to joining Proofpoint, Mr. Sarin served as the lead strategy and corporate development executive for Hewlett- Packard's (HP) Software and Security division. In that role, Mr. Sarin worked extensively with HP's execu- tive leadership team in defining and executing on strategic transactions. Previously, Mr. Sarin was director of investment banking at Merrill Lynch focused on technology companies and worked on several marquee M&A and IPO mandates. He started his career at JP Morgan / H&Q and earned an M.B.A. from Columbia and B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT, India. Shardul is a Partner at Index Ventures, focusing on security, DevOps, and enterprise software. He also serves on the Board of Directors of several companies, including Outbrain, SourceClear, Base CRM, Sig- nal Sciences, and Datadog. Prior to joining Index Ventures in 2008, Shah was an associate at Summit Partners from 2005 to 2008. Shah received a BA in Economics and Biology from the University of Chica- go.
