He also worked as cyber de- fense specialist and instructor at the NATO Science for Peace and Security program. Volkan holds Bachelor’s in Math and M.S. in Information Systems; thesis on continuous security monitoring. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Information Security. The certificates he holds are ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), and CISM (Certified Information Systems Manag- er).

In the past 20 years, Andre has founded and grown a number of successful software companies. Andre founded Durand Communi- cations in 1993. The company pioneered the first online photograph database and Windows NT client/server bulletin board. In 1998, the company was sold to Webb Interactive. Jabber was founded by Andre in 2000 where he commercialized the Jabber instant mes- saging open source platform, creating the Jabber Software Foundation in the process. Today Jabber is used around the world by hundreds of thousands of businesses. Jabber was sold to Cisco in 2008. In 2002 Andre founded Ping Identity with a vision of secur- ing the Internet through identity. Among his many contributions to the identity and security industry, he founded and chairs the identi- ty industry conference, Cloud Identity Summit, now in its 7th year.

Miller Newton joined PKWARE in 2009, after serving as CEO of Netkey, a leading provider of applications and management software for self-service kiosks and digital signage. Netkey was acquired by NCR (NYSE:NCR). Prior to Netkey, Miller was Chairman and CEO for Boston-based Lavastorm Technologies (now Martin Dawes Analytics); CEO of the renowned global employment solution for Monster, at which he is credited with growing the company from $400,000 to $45 million in revenue and from 50 to 230 employees; and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for TMP Worldwide, a global marketing and communications company and parent company of Monster, where he was instrumental in taking the company public in 1996. Miller leads PKWARE with a combina- tion of experience in growing technology fields and in managing companies to healthy revenue returns.
