Mid-Atlantic Cattle Sales - Video Sale [8/5/25]

The Genetic Merit Scorecard (GMS) draws on the industryʼs largest database to evaluate calf genetics. It projects their performance potential from weaning to the packing plant, using the breeding history of a herd. Scores indicate how cattle will perform in the feedlot and on the rail, with top Grid scores earning the Certified Angus Beef® brand Targeting the Brand™ logo. WHAT DO THE SCORES MEAN? With the industry average being 100, the higher the score, the greater the genetic potential of the calves. BEEF SCORE: Predicts genetic potential for feedlot performance and carcass value. FEEDLOT SCORE: Signifies a group's potential for post-weaning performance. GRID SCORE: Signals the performance potential for carcass grid merit. MATERNAL SCORE: Demonstrates an enrollment group's genetic potential for use as replacement heifers.

AngusVerified is a USDA Process-Verified Program (PVP) that documents and verifies, at minimum, the enrolled calves are 50% Angus . In other words, enrolled calves must have been sired by a registered and properly transferred Angus bull, used naturally or by artificial insemination.
