and New Zealand single rise events. George Helmore came 10th (out of 324) for the South Island single rise event. Based on total scores over two days, Connor Graham was selected for the five-man Canterbury regional representative team that won the national inter-regional team competition. (Connor was top scorer for the team.) College did well in skeet this year. Henry Lassen won the CSS skeet trophy and North Island secondary school skeet championship. Connor Graham and Henry Lassen won the CSS skeet team trophy and went on to win the North Island secondary school skeet team trophy in Waikato. George Nehoff was selected for the South Island secondary school skeet three-man team. College shooters also competed in non-school events including club, New Zealand DTL championships,
Canterbury Provincials and South Island DTL championships. These NZCTA competitions are by grade and include Junior (U18) categories. In the New Zealand DTL championships, George Nehoff came 2nd in B Grade points score with an impressive 149/150. In the South Island DTL championships, Henry Lassen won the Junior high overall and Junior double rise, single rise and points score. Harry Trolove came 1st in B Grade points score and 2nd in B Grade single rise. Connor Graham came 4th in A Grade single rise. In the Canterbury Provincials, Junior high overalls were won by Connor Graham (HOA Junior, single rise, skeet), George Helmore (triples, single barrel), and Henry Lassen (points score). In 2020, nine boys – Charlie Burdon, Ben Davis, William Drummond, Connor Graham, George Helmore, Henry Lassen, Tom Macdonald, George Nehoff, and Harry Trolove – took clay target shooting as a winter sport. Also in regular attendance were Maurice Gillard, Hugo Helmore, Conor Nicholson and Digby Sheild. All boys competed in secondary school, club and New Zealand Clay Target Association (NZCTA) competitions. Covid-19 reduced the Canterbury Secondary School (CSS) competitions from seven rounds to five. After winning the points score teams event in the first two rounds, College fought hard in the remaining three rounds to eventually come runner-up by four points. Connor Graham was season runner-up (by one point) for the highest overall down-the-line (DTL) score in Canterbury. The South Island and New Zealand secondary school championships were held from 26–28 September 2020, with 324 students from 73 schools competing. Henry Lassen came 1st in Junior South Island
