Excellent weather conditions meant the day got off to a good start and matches ran to schedule. The first team on the field was the C team. They won their first match against Medbury 3–0 and lost their second match against a Christchurch combined team 2–0, which meant they played Medbury again for placings. They won 2–0 and finished second. Henry Lassen was named College’s most valuable player. The next match was the A grade game against Hamilton, who had travelled down for the day. No one knew what to expect from them, and it was clear right from the start that we were outplayed. We were up against a very capable team, which was too much for two of our inexperienced players, and College lost 6–0. The next game was against St Andrew’s Combined. This was a much more even game, with both teams scoring. Unfortunately, the
combined team snuck in a late goal just before the end of the game to take the 1– 2 win. Edward Davidson was named College’s most valuable player. The last team to play was the B team. Another new team playing up a grade, this young, talented team played very well together. The boys won their first game against Rangi Ruru 1–0, but lost to a Christchurch combined side 0–1. Their final match against Medbury saw them win 1–0 to finish second in their pool. Most valuable player was Hayden Goodwin. Sunday 29 November 2020 What a year it has been. The main polo tournament was cancelled due to Covid, which disappointed many of our boys. Both Edward Davidson and Winston Hutchinson were selected to play in the New Zealand team against Australia, which was also cancelled. Our congratulations must go to them,

SOUTH ISLAND SUPA TOURNAMENTS Sunday 1 March 2020
Last year we farewelled three of our top players and the boys are now working hard to develop their skills and take their place. College had three teams playing in the first tournament for the year, in the A, B and D grades.
