Date: July 8, 2025 | Course Number: 4019 Distributed Leadership: Building Capacity of Staff to Analyze and Build Buy-In Around Data Course Description: Participants will self-assess their school’s needs regarding data usage and integration across all systems and structures; critique key staff regarding the ownership of various aspects of data analysis; synthesize their strategic plans and staff leadership regarding data use; and analyze their staff in relationship to their skills and training to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data. Special attention will be given to the use of data in “building capacity for data-informed decision-making to reduce chronic absenteeism.”
Date: July 10, 2025 | Course Number: 4153 Distributed Leadership Through an Equity Lens Course Description: Distributed leadership is an approach to leadership that is shared, collective, and extended. In practice, it identifies and taps into the skills and abilities of individuals within the school community, relies on collaboration, and fosters a culture of trust and respect. This academy focuses on identifying and articulating a deliberate set of leadership practices and policies that move beyond simply “divvying up” the tasks of school leadership to thoughtfully identifying beliefs and practices intended to result in school culture outcomes that are both ethical and equitable. Participants will be required to map out a distributed leadership agenda with measurable outcomes, designed to assure an equitable school culture of high expectations for every student.
