Role Summary The University are seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Head of Compliance Services to be responsible for all strategic and operational matters relating to health and safety planning and management across the department. This strategic role will lead, inspire and shape the direction for our Department on all Health and Safety legislative and regulatory compliance matters and will be responsible for promoting and developing a positive safety culture within the department. Reporting to the Estates Operations Director, the incumbent will work with the University of Nottingham Safety Office to review safety policies and guidelines providing updates on new or amended health and safety legislation ensuring changes are communicated and implemented across the Estates and Facilities department. the internal monitoring and auditing of health and safety procedures providing compliance reports to senior university management as required. We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of managing compliance services across a comparable size/scale estate with either a Asset and Building Management, Engineering, health and safety relevant qualification with experience in the management of statutory compliance and possess NEBOSH Health & Safety Diploma qualification.
