Department Staffing Brian Roenigk was appointed to the role of Building Commissioner on October 2, 2023. Since November 2022, Brian served as a Building Inspector in Beachwood. Brian has worked in construction for more than 39 years and has 17 years of Building Department experience, including serving as the Assistant Building Commissioner for the City of Strongsville until 2022.

On December 18, 2023, Traci Gallagher-Bonvenuto (pictured) was promoted to the position of Assistant Building Commissioner. She has been serving the city as a Building and Plumbing Inspector since 2016. Traci is the first woman to hold this position for the City of Beachwood. This milestone underscores the city’s commitment to a progressive and inclusive approach in selecting the most qualified individuals for key roles.

Major Projects • Ahuja Medical Center, Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute: UH Ahuja, located at 3999 Richmond Road, completed their additions in 2023. Estimated cost for UH Drusinsky Sports Medicine Institute totaled $147 million. • Porsche: The new Porsche dealership, located at 3750 Orange Place, is on target for an early April 2024 opening. The estimated cost is $13 million. • Joseph and Florence Mandel Jewish Day School: Completed Phase 3 of their addition and alterations at 26500 Shaker Boulevard. Estimated cost totaled $10.7 million. • Site Centers: Completing entire 3rd floor renovation at 3300 Enterprise Parkway, estimated cost $2.2 million. • Metro Health: Finishing up a $2.3 million project located at 3609 Park East Drive. • Master Builders Solutions: Finishing up their $2 million project located at 23463 Commerce Park Road.
