Independent II was the second stop on the tour, where attendees were greeted by a father-son team, Neil Mac- Donald, CEO, and son, Finn MacDonald, President. They were proud to show off their 340,000-square-foot shiny new facility that now offers ample room for their special machine layout after outgrowing their prior space. Highlights at Independent II included a new machine center they refer to as the “island,” anchored by two Isowa flexo folder gluers (an Ibis and a Falcon) along with Alli- ance prefeeders, Geo. Martin inverters, and EAM Mosca bundlers.
