Meet Me at the Market The Horton Farmers’ Market is once again alive with the sights, sounds and flavours of the season. From farm-fresh produce and homemade baking to handcrafted goods and unique local creations, the market offers something for everyone. Shoppers can reconnect with returning favourites, discover new vendors and enjoy the warm sense of community that has made the market a Saturday tradition in St. Thomas for generations. Whether you are picking up ingredients for the week ahead or simply enjoying a morning stroll downtown, I hope to meet you at the market! Cozy Glo Candle Co. For Jennifer and Marj Rundle, Cozy Glo Candle Co. is about far more than candles. The mother-daughter business, launched in the fall of 2022, was built around creating products that bring warmth, comfort and intention into everyday life. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches using pure soy wax and premium phthalate-free fragrance oils, creating a clean-burning product customers can feel good about using in their homes. “Our goal was never just to make candles,” Jennifer shared. “It was to create something that feels like home.” From soft vanilla blends and subtle florals to seasonal collections inspired by fall and the holidays, Cozy Glo focuses on scents that evoke calm, nostalgia and cozy moments. The pair proudly source their materials from Canadian-owned businesses and hand-pour every candle in Downtown St. Thomas at Handmade Haven Collective on Talbot Street. While the business has continued to grow over the past year, for Jennifer and Marj, the greatest reward remains the connections they build with customers at local markets and community events.
