Summer at Levine.Brochure 2022

WEEK 1: June 7-10 (4 days)

MORNING Camps

Design Thinking Project: Pip Challenges Children meet Pip and use a variety of materials to complete challenges. Pip is incredibly curious and often finds himself in sticky situations. In this open build module, children use their creative problem-solving skills to help Pip get a grip. Papier Mâché Pomegranate Trees Campers will explore papier mâché by making their pomegranate trees. Understanding what the tree symbolizes will guide campers to create a unique base for their tree to grow from. Finally, they will write particular messages or symbols on their bases. The activity will develop critical thinking and a beautiful piece of art. Basketball Campers will focus on the basic fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, basic defending and court awareness. This will happen through specific drills and games that will allow campers to grow in every area. Campers will also get to play other forms of game (not always 5 on 5 basketball) to make learning the skills more fun. We will also have games played that build basketball strengths. Campers will also compete in similar skills competitions at the end of the week to the NBA All Star Challenge. ART-chitects: Engineering and Art (Little Scholars) In this camp, kids will learn the basics of architecture including drawing, designing, and creating structures and buildings. Design the home of your dreams, discover the inspiration for famous buildings and bridges, or plan a new roller coaster for your favorite theme park. Unleash your inner art-chitect with us this summer.
