414 VRT LAZY TV HOMEMADE J414 He was a sire we brought from Thortensen’s Lazy TV Ranch in Selby, ND. We thought that this was the best line of cattle for feed conversions we have found to date. 414’s Residual Feed Intake was -7.3 for the second-best bull test out of over 200 head that year. 414 has lived up to all our expectations! Bruce Hould phoned after the first weight at 66 days on feed. He thought we had some new sire groups that had picked up performance as a group. The bulls were averaging 4.25 lbs / day (a new record for us). The top 414 son was gaining 6.93 lbs/day. When I walk through the pens, I pick out the bulls that continually catch my eye for the performance pen, to start the sale. It was not until we started putting the catalog together that I realized 5 of the 6 bulls in the performance pens were by 414. I hope you like 414 sons because you are going to see a lot more of them. Bull Lots are 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 19, 23, 25, 27, 28, 31, 38, 41, 42, 52, 66, and 84.

CM VESETH 51/97 CM includes some breeds that are not well represented in the IGS database. I feel that as we get more data on CM his BWT will come down and his CE will go up. His sons also ultrasound very well. Bull lots are 14, 16, 17 and 56.

RH VESETH RECORD HOLDER 41/67 RH is a true performance bull that keeps birthweight in check. You will see a lot of his calves in the calving ease pens of bulls. This is a home- grown bull and as his name implies after 30 years of raising bulls. RH holds the record of 3.88 lbs/day from his modest birth weight of 81 lbs to his 365 day weight of 1421 lbs and he achieved this record in a drought where we hauled the cows 400,000 gallons of water that summer. This is his third calf crop. His sons Lots: 20,30,50,75 and 90.
