We have been involved with KSU and the HMI program for over a decade. Brought together by a desire to dig deeper, work smarter and solve more - the partnership has and continues to be a strong one. We are honored to continue our support, not only financially, but also by having the privilege of employing over 20 students from KSU at MagMutual. We are excited about the future.
Familiarity with Healthcare IT systems helps you develop effective solutions. Since graduating from the MSHMI program, I have successfully implemented solutions for every area of the business where I work, from Human Resources to billing and payroll solutions.

I have been working in the fast-paced and exciting field of analytics for over 10 years and enrolled in the MSHMI program in order to obtain the knowledge and skills needed to really make a difference in my career. In 2015, I started working in healthcare analytics, knowing very little about the healthcare industry, but knowing that I wanted to be part of a profession that impacts so many people’s lives and empowers me every day to make a difference.
We first got involved with the HMI program to do a research project on technology in the real world of employee health and wellness. Eventually, that relationship grew into applying for a grant together, and now pursuing many other partnerships.

When I connected with Dr. Sneha, I was very interested because we were always looking to partner up with local universities and really bring that early talent into the mix. Healthcare is a complex industry and we need all the partners we can to solve this problem.
The opportunity to interact with key individuals in the healthcare industry and the curriculum’s blend of healthcare and informatics will aid me in achieving the goals I’ve set for myself. The curriculum can take me far, but what’s more important is that I can transfer my knowledge into the real world.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to not only engage with other peers in the ecosystem, but to really learn what’s on the horizon, industry issues, and deepen our relationships to better serve the community. Your students are at the forefront of technology and help us to understand new challenges in the industry and see healthcare challenges through a fresh perspective. Without events like this, we would not have the enhanced perspective to better serve our clients and move the needle forward in healthcare as a collective group.
I had a great experience as an MSHMI student. The interdisciplinary program was challenging, but it provided insights into the different competencies in Healthcare IT – from leadership and governance to informatics and analytics. The program helped me to become a more well-rounded leader.
