It’s the first day of trip. You’ve got the fresh powder under your skis (or board ), the mountain air is crisp and the sun is shining across the bright blue cloudless sky. The pistes are freshly groomed because, of course, you’ve somehow managed to scramble

They are both our and your biggest USP and secret weapon and I truly cannot wait for you to begin working with our incredible account managers.

Looking ahead to 25/26, our focus is clear: keeping ski trips accessible and supporting you, our Committees.

We understand the increased cost of living and the geo-political events currently occurring are all contributing to higher base prices. We are consistently taking action to minimise the effect of this on our passengers. Your success is our success, and we’re proud to offer the prices we can to our passengers. We’ve put huge investments into our tech as well as upping our initiatives such as our incredibly successful Early Bird Scheme to support you to reach your goals. All the team at NUCO are from a Uni Snowsports background, and we get it. Running a club alongside uni, work and everything else is HARD. We also get that being part of Committee is going to be one of the highlights of your time at university. Creating a ski trip for your club shouldn’t be stressful, it should be one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences of your life! We’ve taken all feedback from over 500 committee members last season to ensure we’re providing the best support for your committee across the season which you’ll find within this edition. So, as you embark on this journey, my advice is simple. Take every opportunity that comes (from becoming a NUCO rep to pioneering a ‘first’ within your club), make sure you are in the know and most importantly, ENJOY it! You’re about to start the wildest journey of your life. You won’t regret it.

Season 24/25 has brought us unreal snowfall, unlocked new events, created a snowsports club unity and the demand for your uni ski trips has SURGED. Our elite Committees from last season were truly something special so we cannot wait to see all your visions for the upcoming season. This season finally felt like we were back to a normality within the student snowsports world post-covid. We could all feel the air of excitement for trips, grassroots attendance has been back at its highest and committees have been more involved than ever before. This has really propelled us at NUCO to deliver further than we ever had before, pushing our average feedback score to a huge 4.27/5*! We couldn’t be prouder. Each season I love to reflect on how much we’ve grown and where our successes lie. For me it’s simple, it’s our team. You’re about to be *blessed* with the most passionate, transparent and dedicated account managers in the game. They will champion your club and support you in every way possible. Utilise them!

They are your guides through the world of Student Snow. After learning about your club, your needs, your brand, your goals, they set about supporting your committee. From building the ideal Ski Trip package to Marketing Plans, merchandise design, event collaboration, and more! Katie, Brad, Lauren, Harry and Dom have one mission: Deliver unforgettable weeks in the mountains , continue to grow your Snowsports Club, and have fun doing it. 2000 The story begins – the future NUCO founders experience their first taste of the student snowsports world. The passion starts.

2004 / 08 The soon to be creators of NUCO find themselves running the student ski tour operator 'Off the Piste'.

2009 TUI (world's largest travel company) buys Off the Piste – the battle to prevent the student snowsports industry becoming corporate begins.

2011 The NUCO founders leave Off

the Piste – their passion and vision for the snowsports world being more important than their prestigious positions as market leaders.

MAR / 2012 NUCO Travel is born (from the makeshift office of 'Mum and Dad's lounge'). The mission is set.

SEPT / 2012 We take our first office – a tiny windowless basement – the NUCO headquarters are born.

DEC / 2012 We run our first ever independent ski trip, and we don't start small – a 3000 strong Oxbridge Varsity trip to Val Thorens.

2012 / 13 NUCO already have 7,000

2013 / 14 Within 12 months of creation, NUCO becomes the market leader and the largest and most trusted brand in the student snowsports market, taking over 14,000 passengers in our second season.

2014 / 16 NUCO founders and their ever growing team of like-minded warriors continue to pioneer and better the student snowsports world - first ever student trip to Pas de la Casa, Andorra and the introduction of 3 other new resort options never previously offered to the uni groups market.

Another year later, new market leader - NUCO Travel . Now 13 years in, over 200,000 happy customers, evidentially the most trusted choice for student snowsports. This all equals one very proud team (and a few office dogs).

THE FUTURE 13 years in and we’re just getting started... Be part of our future and help take student snowsports to the next level.

2022 / 23 Back to business. Our first full season in 3 years, getting back on track and building for the future.

2023 /24 Our growth continues, the team hits 50 and we open a second office in York.

We’re proud to have taken over 15,000 of you this season and to see our amazing committees smash it out of the park in promoting their trips. We can't wait to keep growing our group's numbers in the coming months!

For the first time ever, Kings Final moved from Gloucester to sunny Sunderland - much to the delight of our very own Mackem, Katie! With a beach front location, the weekend had it all: great racing, plenty of booze, insane DJs, and an epic North East after-party. Ha’way man, it was proper class, wasn’t it? COMMITTEE INCENTIVE SCHEME This season, we launched NUCO’s most exciting committee sales incentive ever, rewarding clubs for their hard work in promoting trips! Sell-out or oversell, and you could win cash rewards to spend however you like. Want to earn serious dolla for your club? Read your booking pack carefully and get involved! NEW EVENTS New season, new events! First Tracks let pax carve fresh tracks at sunrise with the pistes before enjoying breakfast ahead of first lifts. On the flip side, NUCO Sounds brought a Boiler Room-style experience to GUSSC passengers in Alpe d’Huez - a high-energy event not to be missed! We can’t wait for you to experience them next season! FREE E-SIMS! We partnered with Hubby to offer our passengers free e-sims for their NUCO trips last season. It had 250mb free and had the option to buy more GB. This was highly discounted in comparison to other network providers and exclusive to NUCO passengers to make their arrival into resort smoother than ever before!

MORE EARLY BIRDS THAN EVER BEFORE! 50 groups joined our early bird launch scheme, helping passengers secure spots, book cheaper flights, and spread payments. The success speaks for itself - most groups sold 70% of their trip before freshers had stepped foot on campus! Get involved this summer and make selling your trip 10 times easier!

NEW KID ON THE BLOCK With the sad departure of Abbie, we’ve been on the hunt for someone new to join the team. We’ve found the perfect person and we couldn’t be more excited for you to meet them. RISOUL NEW RESORT! A new resort for NUCO last season, Risoul boasts miles of tree runs and off-piste routes, 2 snow parks, as well as beginner friendly areas across all parts of the resort, it suits any level of skier - a dream for an inclusive university ski trip. And who could argue with the price?! Medski had a ball last year so why not take the plunge and give Risoul a shot this season!

RESORT DELIVERY Our teams are extensively trained to deliver your trip. From events reps to resort coordinators, security officers to welfare leads, you are fully looked after at all levels. 11 PLANNING SUPPORT We provide you with a comprehensive overview and timeline – see it as a checklist. This allows us to work collaboratively and make sure everything is being done efficiently. You know what is required of you in advance and when, no last-minute deadlines. You are studying too after all! 1 OUR 360 SERVICE NETWORKS By being part of the committee and We Are NUCO family, you become part of a huge network of other groups. We facilitate you connecting to share advice and ideas as well as really contributing to the industry reputation as a whole; making impactful changes together. 12 Welcome to the NUCO family, where snowsports isn't just a hobby, it's a way of life. We may be the ones to deliver you your holiday but we are so much more! PAYMENT DEADLINE On the Thursday, 6 weeks from trip*

The initial conversations between ourselves and committee will allow us to iron out the details. Which dates are you looking to travel? How many people? Which resort suits you best?

Before you know it, the sales period will come to an end. Everyone has up until this date to chop and change their options. This marks the end of the period for people to pay off their trip, and finalise their choices.

WHO LOOKS AFTER YOU IN RESORT?

EVENTS AND COMPETITION REPS On our weeks with a bigger lineup, we bring in team members with an expanded skill set. Within our team, we have reps who have experience in event/competition management who will be focused solely on the delivery of these aspects of the week. Whether it’s stage setup, artist liaison, dual slalom, or portaloos, we’ve got the people for the job!

RESORT MANAGERS

WELFARE TEAM Our English-speaking welfare team is there to ensure the safety of all our passengers and make sure the week is well looked after. They provide resort support, event safety, and crowd management consultancy with first aid/mental health qualified staff. These guys are here for you and your members, and they aim to make sure everyone returns home safely. Nothing better for your peace of mind.

RESORT REPS Our fine-tuned rep team makes up the bulk of our resort team. They are responsible for supporting all elements of the week, but their main task is to ensure your passengers are loving their time in resort. Reps interact with passengers daily, host nights out, and deliver information provided by NUCO to make sure your members don’t miss anything. Our reps have always been our biggest strength and we’re proud to show them off!

ASSISTANT MANAGERS AND HEAD REPS Head Reps and Assistant Managers are responsible for leading our rep team. They’ll support Resort Managers in maintaining staff standards, and be the first point of contact for our hard-working committee members. They take responsibility away from you to ensure all passengers, including the committee (it’s your holiday too!), are having the best experience possible. They’ll be made up of those team members with more experience, usually having completed their first season with us already. Resort Managers will always be full-time head office staff, whether it’s your account manager or a member of the operations team. Responsible for overseeing all in-resort operations on our biggest student weeks, the Resort Managers look after everything from arrivals to departures. Events, staff, committees, and suppliers, our Resort Managers have a hand in ensuring every detail is delivered to the highest standards.

Mental wellbeing issues can catch us off guard, creeping up when we least expect them. We especially understand that being away from home can be a bit like searching for fresh powder on a bluebird day, challenging. Our core community, students and young people, are statistically more likely to be affected by mental health issues. EXPRESS DAMAGE DEPOSITS Making sure you get your money back – We know how important money is, especially in the current climate. That is why we always strive to get people’s money back to them within 14 working days of returning from their holiday.

BANK OF NUCO: GROUP ACCOUNTING & RECONCILIATION Looking after your club funds –

Throughout the year we’ll track your incoming funds and expenditures. This means you can spend any commission or sponsorship money knowing we’re keeping an eye on the finances. Post-trip, your Account Manager will settle up your account, and you can either take a payment into the club or keep it with us rolling into next year. This means you can spend confidently without worrying about budgets, or any prying eyes from Sports/ Students Unions.

UNION SUPPORT Communicating with your unions –

Where it is relevant to do so, we make sure we communicate with your union representative to give them visibility on all the things they need. This may include risk assessments, crisis management plans, contact overviews, escalation procedures, and general health and safety planning. No need to do any of this yourself! BOOKING PAGE Everything will be set up for you to launch your trip – This includes everything from setting up the booking page, payment deadlines, room allocations, and more. Of course, we’ll always encourage the committee to give us a helping hand in getting information out to their members, but this will all be done via our dedicated Customer Experience team. A BANK OF FAQ KNOWLEDGE Providing quick easy information to reduce questions to you – We host a wealth of FAQs on our website, allowing your passengers to search and find answers quickly and easily. They can always contact one of our customer service experts if they need more information but more often than not, we find that the answers are discovered online. ROOM ALLOCATIONS We do all the leg work –

Our booking system allows your members to allocate themselves and friends into different apartments. We’ll set a date for these to open, and email your members to give them instructions on how to allocate their rooms. Committee members will get early access to ensure they’re sorted before it goes live.

Yes, you read that right…we love admin! So leave it with us and let us lighten your committee load so you can concentrate on the fun stuff. All things admin are what we are great at and we have a dedicated team behind the scenes covering this all for you. The definition of peace of mind!

What should we expect from our account manager across the year? Your account manager is your direct point of contact from NUCO Head Office - they’re there year-round to keep you up to speed with the organisation of your trip done by other teams, help with advertising, sales and eventually the running of the show once you’re in resort! They work closely with your committee to make sure that you get the engagement you need from your members to sell out. If you’re new to the process of selling a trip, your account manager will have plenty of tricks up their sleeve to guide you in the right direction, so don’t be afraid to ask for some tips if you need them! How do free places work? Free places come as part of your inclusions for the trip. It’s a great reward for you for all the hard work that goes into being a committee member for the year! Don’t forget, the cost of these is built into your base price, so it affects how much your passengers pay to come along. You get to decide your free place ratio (how many places you need to sell before you can get one free). One free place entitles you to the base price cost, transport, equipment hire, and a workshop, and you can split this however you like if there’s not enough for each committee member to have one to themselves! What does a multiyear contract mean for us? A multiyear contract, in short, is an agreement between your committee and NUCO to keep working together in future seasons! There are some big bonuses that you can capitalise on as a committee in these contracts - you can add in some deals for yourselves, but also guarantee extra inclusions for your future committee members to enjoy through the lasting collaboration that you can build with us! Have a chat with your quote or account manager to see what can be organised for your group in a multiyear contract, to see just how much benefit it can bring to your club. What’s in it for me as a committee member? Really, you get to decide this! All the extras that you can get (committee jackets, commission per passenger, flyers, posters, etc) are built into your contract when you start discussing your resort options. Bear in mind, the more that you include for yourselves, the more the base price goes up! It’s all about striking a balance between getting as much as you can out of your year on committee, and making sure your passengers have an amazing, but affordable trip! NUCO also has some other fantastic opportunities, such as our annual Sunset on Summer trip exclusive to committee members, and maybe a few resort treats… What’s in it for our passengers? Aside from having an incredible week in the snow, your passengers will also get top-tier support and organisation from our resort team! All passengers are supported by our incredible rep and welfare team that we have on the trip. As you’ll see in your resort meeting, our reps are scoring better than ever before, so you can guarantee that all your passengers will have everything they need whilst in resort. You can also include extras for your passengers like trip T-shirts and exclusive events like après takeovers. Anything you need to make the year as great as possible for the wider club!

This way you know more of what to expect for sales, and there's a better chance of securing more beds. Would also make sure to research the resorts - both the slopes and nightlife. But more importantly is there a Folie?! HOW DID YOU FIND SUNSET ON SUMMER?

HOW DID YOU CHOOSE WHICH RESORT YOU TRAVELLED TO THIS YEAR? It's very important to try to tailor for all our students needs. We have found that the skiing takes priority with our Uni but still need some good night out options. We looked ski area size and quality of snow year round, after we would do some digging into the NUCO Brochure to see what other information we could find about a resort! WHAT WAS IT THAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A REP FOR NUCO? It allowed me to further immerse myself within the UK's Snowsports scene. Having only started skiing in Uni I wanted to throw myself in the deep end to get more time in the alps! However the best part of being a Nuco rep is the people you meet, both other reps and passengers you work with. Without a doubt it's one of the best things I've ever done!

FAVOURITE MOMENT ON THE TRIP? Having our own DJ on the decks at Aprés with the ENTIRE group ( + the whole NUCO team) there to support and bring the buzz- snowballs and flares flying everywhere and three hours of pure bliss! HOW HAVE YOU ENJOYED YOUR TIME ON COMMITTEE? It’s been the making of me. Joining a committee in first year was a great idea, joining snowsports was the best one. The stress that comes with any committee position is instantly paid off when you realise the people the snowsports world surrounds you with. The best kind of cult.

Sunset on Summer was amazing! Was like a mates party holiday but to the extreme and we are all still really good friends with a lot of the people we met out there. PLEASE DESCRIBE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH NUCO IN 3 WORDS Easy, Efficient, Entertaining - and they are even alliteration!! :))

We went to Val Thorens in December, partly because of snow security, but mainly because of the fantastic nightlife and range of skiing they have! Being a club with lots of beginners, but also many experienced skiers, it was great to have such range in resort (and après bars that everyone could get to!).

It was a ridiculously fun weekend and a great way to meet other committee members who you’ll inevitably bump into at events and in resort! Couldn’t recommend it more.

WHAT WAS IT THAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A REP FOR NUCO? Getting ski time whilst at uni seemed impossible until I found nuco who make it more than just a possibility but an utter dream! Once I started I became hooked and look forward to every winter. WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO INSPIRE MEMBERS TO APPLY FOR COMMITTEE? Being on a snow committee is like being on steroids, seriously fun crowd of people guaranteed and it’s a one way ticket into the ski industry with all the perks that helping organise club stuff gets you, ie committee jackets on trip and a hall pass for getting absolutely blind drunk at all times.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU HAVE FOR FUTURE COMMITTEE MEMBERS WHEN ORGANISING THEIR TRIP? Make sure you read through the resort information provided by NUCO to assess what the pros and cons of each resort are and ultimately choose a resort that best aligns with the type of snowsports society you run. Typically, student aprés takeovers are amazing with NUCO sounds so try and recruit some of your own DJs early on! YOUR FAVOURITE MOMENT FROM THE TRIP? From Tignes 2024, my favourite moment would have to be the Trent x UWE student takeover at Bollin aprés. Music was great, vibes were high, beer was consumed.

HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR EXPERIENCE AS A NUCO SOUNDS DJ? I was lucky enough to be offered a spot to play at La Folie Douce in VT, and to be honest it was probably the best day of my life. Looking down from the balcony, and seeing all my best mates dancing away to my music at the worlds most infamous après venue was crazy, I’m still so grateful to NUCO sounds for making that happen.
