Sitting at the top of the Pyrenees Mountains you’ll find this wonderful resort of Pas de la Casa. Just over the border from France, at the most Eastern part of the 4 valleys that combine to create the Grandvalira Ski area, you’ll see that this resort can provide almost everything you need to enjoy a fantastic time away in the mountains. This ski area boasts 210km of pisted slopes as well as 3 different snow parks across the resort. Best of all, of course, is that everything here is tax-free! You’ll be able to find bottles of spirits priced as if they’re bottles of wine and everything else with high tax back home becomes astonishingly reasonable here. Enough about the tax haven, what about the skiing? This resort is based around 2050m above sea level, so the conditions are always amazing throughout the season here.
This resort is split across the Grau Ruig and El Tarter regions and provides 139 runs which cater to all abilities. The beginners will have plenty of choice to try out their new skills and the resort boasts a majority of blue and red runs throughout so there’s enough slope to keep everyone entertained and challenged! If you’re into backcountry skiing or your freestyle skiing there is something for everyone which makes this a uniquely accessible resort. Talking of accessibility, the resort is only a short distance from Toulouse or Barcelona airport, taking a couple of hours by coach to reach the resort, with the benefit of both airports serving many low-cost airlines, which can reduce your travel costs. The après and nightlife scene in Pas completely unmatched - which probably has something to do with the cheap drinks! Head to Coll Blanc (or the spaceship as they call it) at the main peak back into Pas for some amazing 360 views, before continuing your evening at Paddy's pub, or the renowned Underground night club. You’ll also have the chance to run some amazing events in this resort with a rail jam that can be set up around the après area for everyone to come along to and the amazing pre-drinks at Milwaukee pub for pizza and unlimited beer!
