ISLANDS

Gili Islands Located to the northwest of Lombok, the Gili Islands are three coral atolls with white sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise lagoons, breathtaking sunsets, and panoramic views of Mount Agung. Gili Trawangan Island is 20 miles northeast of Bali. The climate on the Gili Islands is significantly drier and hotter than on Lombok, but evenings can be cool and refreshing. The rainy season on Gili lasts from November to April, but rainfall during this period is significantly less than on Bali.

Kalimantan Island The culture and nature of Kalimantan (Borneo) attract many travelers from around the world. The most popular adventure for tourists arriving in Balikpapan or Samarinda is a journey along the Mahakam River, offering stunning sights such as wild orchids hanging over the water, Proboscis monkeys, orangutans, crocodiles, leopards, crab-eating macaques, and giant butterflies. Those wishing to see the world-famous orangutan park should start their journey from Banjarmasin. Diving in Borneo is simply spectacular. In short, it has everything for

relaxation, adventure, and new experiences. We offer you the following cruise programs: River Cruise (3 days / 2 nights)

Upon arrival at Palangkaraya airport, you will immediately head with your guide to the Rahai’i Pangun vessel. The cruise begins from the port of Palangkaraya, heading down the river into the pristine jungle. The route passes through stilt villages along the riverbanks, jungles, and small islands where you can see families of orangutans. After an afternoon tea on board the ship, you will take a canoe to explore the coastal jungle, where you may encounter Proboscis monkeys and hornbills. Upon returning, you will enjoy dinner and relax on board the ship. Early in the morning, the Rahai’i Pangun will arrive at Tumbang Tahai and anchor near the neighboring island of Palas. Palas Island is known as a place where orangutans are released after rehabilitation. After breakfast, you will go for a walk on the Tangling Hills and to the sacred Batu Banama stone, a place believed to be inhabited by spirits (or take an easier route through the hills to a Catholic monastery). Optionally, you can visit the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center for an additional fee and learn more about the rehabilitation program. After lunch on board the boat, you will head downriver to Bukit Rawi. Here, you will get to know the culture and lifestyle of the Dayak people, see a sandung (a sarcophagus with the remains of ancestors), and after dinner, attend a traditional performance in a longhouse – the traditional longhouse of the Dayaks. The next morning, the Rahai’i Pangun will return to Palangkaraya. Upon arrival, you will have a city tour and visit a traditional market if there is time. Then, you will be transferred to the airport.

Gili Trawangan Gili Trawangan is the largest of the three Gili Islands. It rises significantly above sea level. The 3 by 2 kilometer island has several hotels, resorts, and restaurants. Over the past two years, an increasing number of tourists have been staying on Gili Trawangan. The most populated part of the island is the eastern side. On Gili Trawangan, as well as on the other two Gili Islands – Meno and Air, there are no motorized vehicles. Locals get around by bicycle or by cidomo – horse-drawn carriages. You can reach the Gilis by motorboats that depart daily from the harbors of Bali and Lombok. The white sandy beaches, picturesque landscapes, and beautiful underwater world attract tourists from all over the world to these tiny islands. Combined tours with accommodation on both Bali and Gili Trawangan offer a great opportunity for diving, snorkeling, cruises, and fishing enthusiasts. The Gili Islands have already become quite popular among both beginner and experienced divers. The waters around the three islands boast about 18 dive sites with varying topography (steep reefs, coral walls, canyons) and an outstanding diversity of marine life. Here you can find blacktip and whitetip reef sharks, various sea turtles, lionfish, scorpionfish, octopuses, moray eels, sea snakes, several types of rays, and numerous coral colonies where you may encounter parrotfish and occasionally even a whale shark. The Gaan Reef, located near Gili Air, is particularly popular among underwater enthusiasts due to its abundance of frogfish, pink-fin scorpionfish, seahorses, octopuses, and other creatures rarely seen elsewhere.
