Shepard. Three Duties Three duties which the Christian owes to his enemies are plainly defined in the Sermon on the Mount. 1. Love Your Enemies. This is made possible by the love of God shed abroad in the heart through the Holy Spirit. 2. Pray for Your Enemies. Interces­ sion follows where love leads the way. 3. Do Good to Your Enemies. This will prove your love and the sincerity of your prayers.—The Watchword. H Progression The Scriptures are a progressive revelation, as the following will abund­ antly show:— 1. From Adam to Abraham God re­ vealed His power and goodness. Ro. 1:20; Ac. 14:17. 2. From Abraham to the cross He re­ vealed His holiness and justice. Ro. 7:12. 3.
