even though it was a promise made long years before. Now when Jeremiah saw how; true these people were he went to the wicked people who were disobeying God, and told them what he had done. God also said that because they had been true and loyal He (God) would always remember them. God wanted his people who had forgotten Him to be sorry for their wrong doings and come back to Him, and God is talking to the people today through the faithful preachers and Sunday school teachers, and calling them to come and follow Him, and you boys and girls know how many lives and homes are being ruined by strong drink. Now listen very care fully and see if you can answer this question? You know the men who are the drunkards today Will die and some one else will take their place. Who are going to take the place of these drunk ards? Yes, the boys of today. O, dear children just think how sad that is, and yet every drunken, staggering man there is today was once a dear little in nocent boy. Now do you see that if the boys would all take Jesus as their Sav iour, and like these people in our story, never drink wine or strong drink, in a

little while there could not be any drunkards, and then we would not have to fight the saloons and liquor because there would be nobody to drink it. (The teacher can make other applications of intemperance). Closing Prayer: Our Heavenly Father we thank thee for the true and faithful Jeremiah, and help us to be brave and faithful in our stand against all that is wrong. SPIRITS GUESSED WRONG An interesting incident of the recent mayoralty election in Los Angeles was recorded by the papers while the cam paign was on. F. T. Woodman, who was making a strenuous fight to retain the office, received an advance letter o$ congratulations from a prominent Spir itistic medium in the city. The writer said the spirits had revealed the fact that Woodman would be the next mayor and congratulations were there fore extended. A few days after, Mr. Snyder was elected mayor.
