praying saw Jesus as He really is for a little while in all his beauty and glory? Yes and you remember the best part of that story is that all who truly love Jesus and follow Him are going to see Him too in all His beauty and glory When we go to live with Him up in heaven, and it will not be just for a little while hut forever. You remem ber that one of the disciples’ names was Peter, and our story today happened in Peter’s home where Jesus and the other disciples were gathered together, for they often met in each other’s homes. Just before Jesus came in they were talking among themselves and ask ing which one of them was going to be the greatest man among them. One of them said he thought Jesus would make him the greatest for he had known Jesus a long time and tljen another spoke up and said that he was sure he would be the greatest for he had al ways been with Jesus on all his trips, and while they were talking in walked Jesus, and of course He had heard what they were talking about, and when He had come into the house, He (Jesus) asked the disciples what they had been saying. Nobody spoke a word and it

was so still you could- have heard a whisper. Of course no one wanted to speak for they felt ashamed of them selves in Jesus’ presence to think they had been so selfish to each one want the best place. -Jesus does not say a word but takes up a little child that was there, perhaps it was Peter’s little child, and sat the little child down by His side. The disciples all had their eyes on Jesus wondering what He was going to do with the little child. Then Jesus took the child up in his arms (Mark 9:36) and while all was so quiet and,, the disciples all watching Him, Jesus told theni that they must be like a little child or they could never enter heaven, would not have any place there at all. Jesus meant they must be like good children, and all good children show a loving spirit and do not quarrel for the best of everything and are obe dient. The one who has the most of the sweet child-like spirit has most of the. Christ-like spirit and when we show the Christ-like spirit we will not be sel fish and always want the best of every thing. One of the best places to see whether boys and girls and big folks too show a sweet, unselfish spirit is in.
