GREETINGS! We would like to invite you to the 34th Annual SDSU Bull Sale, and couldn’t be more excited about the bulls we have to offer. It is one of the largest offerings we have ever had. There are plenty of good ones to go around. We are also excited to once again host a live auction and will be working with DVAuction to provide access to the sale online. We are extremely appreciative of the tireless hours that these individuals have dedicated to our purebred cow herd. Average Daily Gain and Feed Efficiency: All average daily gain and feed efficiency data will be available on sale day. Genomic Testing: Each of the bulls has undergone genomic testing through the American Angus Association (HD50k by Zoetis) and the American Simmental Association (GGP-LD by Neogen). All of the SimAngus bulls are homozygous polled, homozygous black, and are free of known genetic abnormalities. All Angus bulls are free of known genetic abnormalities. All bulls have been vaccinated for respiratory, clostridial, mycoplasma, reproductive diseases, and warts. They were weaned September 16, 2025. The bulls did not receive creep feed prior to weaning. After weaning, they were developed on a 53 Mcal/ cwt, 14.5% crude protein, corn silage- based diet. Semen evaluations will be conducted on April 7. northwest of campus at 2901 Western Ave. From I-29 exit, 133, go West 2.3 miles on the Hwy 14 bypass past Medary Avenue (4-way stoplight) to Western Avenue. Go North 3/4 miles on Western Avenue. There will be signs marking the entrance to the bull sale. Terms & Conditions: All cattle sell under the terms and conditions from the American Angus Association and the American The sale order and any updates on cattle being offered will be available on sale day. Volume Discount: Buyers purchasing 2 or more bulls, paid by the same check, and transferred to the same name will recieve a 10% discount from their purchase price. Free Delivery: Simmental Association. Sale Order & Updates: SDSU will offer free delivery of bulls within 200 miles of Brookings, SD. We will also deliver bulls to our Cottonwood Research Station, near Philip, SD, for pick up. Delivery of bulls will be scheduled in late April and early May. If buyers pick up their bulls in Brookings, SD, prior ro June 1, they will recieve a $100 discount per/head. EPDs: EPD’s listed are current as of March 11, 2026. Please note that EPDs may change from that date until registration papers are transferred.
