CHAPTER EIGHT • SPACE UTILIZATION ANALYSIS NAPERVILLE PARK DISTRICT INDOOR RECREATION SPACE NEEDS ASSESSMENT
The Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center (ARRCC) is the Naperville Park District’s second largest indoor recreation facility. The Naperville Park District leases the facility from the City of Naperville with the understanding it will host active adult and senior programming and provide community recreation opportunities. The facility was renovated by the Park District in 2010. The ARRCC is home to several of the Park District’s Active Adults/senior programs and the District’s Preschool Academy. Additionally, the facility’s dance studio hosts dance programs through the Park District’s Dance Academy. The Park District subleases 1,388 SF of the facility to Riverwalk Adult Day Services for adults in need of daytime care. Lastly, ARRCC hosts partner programming including Meals on Wheels offered through the DuPage Senior Citizens Council. The center is a two-story, 21,105 SF building that includes many different assets. The first floor consists of: ALFRED RUBIN RIVERWALK COMMUNITY CENTER
