CHAPTER EIGHT • SPACE UTILIZATION ANALYSIS NAPERVILLE PARK DISTRICT INDOOR RECREATION SPACE NEEDS ASSESSMENT

STUDIO ONE (ART STUDIO) Studio One hosts a variety of arts classes throughout all seasons. The most common classes offered in 2023 include Open Studio, Advanced Pottery and Sculpture, as well as various levels of Pottery for different age segments and skill levels. The data suggests that most programs are in high demand because they are close to or at full capacity throughout the year. Fifty-eight percent of 2023 programs were at full capacity. Most of the programs are offered in the afternoons and evenings between 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. throughout the week, Monday through Thursday. SEAGER PARK INTERPRETIVE CENTER The Seager Park Interpretive Center offers nature enrichment programs as well as preschool and youth summer camps mostly on weekdays, Monday through Thursday at 9:00 a.m. In 2023, five of the ten programs were at full enrollment. SPORTSMAN’S PARK COMMUNITY CLUBHOUSE The Sportsman’s Park Community Clubhouse sees heavy usage on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., accommodating Western DuPage Special Recreation Association programming. Other activities throughout the week include Archery, Trapshooting, and Service Dog Training. Program participation remained steady from 2022 through 2023 dropping only by .11% with nearly 15,000 participants.
