Household Composition The household composition of the survey respondents covers a range of distinct living arrangements (Figure 3). The majority of respondents, 71%, are married or living with a partner and have children in the household. Conversely, 21% of respondents are married or living with a partner but do not have children living in the household. This could reflect either couples without children or empty nesters whose children have moved out. A smaller segment of the population, 3%, consists of singles with children in the household. Finally, 5% of the respondents are single and do not have children living in the household. Figure 3. Households with Children Among respondents who have children in their household (Figure 4), 20.1% (N=341) have children in 3 rd to 5 th grade, followed by high school (18.5%; N=312), emerging adults (17.6%; N= 299), and 16.6% (N=281) have one or more children in kindergarten through 2 nd grade. Fewer households (12.7%; N=216) have one or more middle school-age child in their household, 9.5%, have preschool- age children (9.5%; N=161), and 4.7% (N=80) have one or more children under the age of two. Households with Children Households with Children Among respondents who had children in their household (Figure 4) , 20% had children in 3rd to 5th grade, followed by 18% with children in high school, 18% with children over 18, and 17% with one or more children in kindergarten through 2nd grade. Fewer households (13%) had one or more middle school-age child in their household, 10% had preschool-age children, and 5% had one or more children under the age of two.
