9 CONSTRAINTS TO INDOOR RECREATION FACILITY USE Almost one quarter (23.3%) of respondents (N= 360), reported not being aware of the programs offered by the Naperville Park District (Figure 7). The inconvenience of the location of facilities was reported by 17.6% (N=272), while a similar number (17.3%, N=268) indicated disinterest in the current offerings. In addition, 13.6% (N=210) indicated facilities are not of interest to people in their household. Similarly, a preference for using private clubs and facilities (e.g., private sport and fitness) was noted by 13.3% (N= 205). Moreover, 11.7 % (N=181) of respondents cited being too busy and time conflicts as reasons for non-participation. Limited capacity/waitlist was a constraint for 7.1% (N=110). Other less frequent but notable constraints included expensive program fees (N=79), use facilities in other districts (N=54), and qualities of programs (N=43); details are displayed in Figure 7.
