PROGRAM INTEREST LEVEL The survey results provide a detailed look into the interests for a variety program types (Figure 14). In terms of the types of programs, indoor pool and aquatics programs receive the highest interest level at 88%, indicating a very strong community focus on swimming and water-based activities. There is a high level of interest in fitness and wellness programs, with 82% of participants favoring it. Besides, 73% of respondents indicated an interest in indoor sports and athletics programs. Interest in environmental and nature programs was noted by 56% of respondents, showing an appreciation for programs that connect individuals with nature and promote environmental education. Arts and crafts programs have a balanced interest rate of 50%, also indicating a moderate demand among community members who value creative and manual skills development. There is also interest in drop-in arts, crafts, and hobby activities for youth, with 39% indicating interest. Only 21% of respondents indicated an in e-sports and gaming. In terms of the age-group based interests, 67% of adults aged 18-59 indicated an interest in more programming for their age group. Youth programs for age’s 5-17 garner 60% of respondents’ interests. 36% of adults ages 60 and over indicated an interest in more programming. There seems to be less interest (19%) in additional early childhood programming. Figure 14. Seventy-three percent of respondents indicated an interest in indoor sports and athletics programs. Moderate interest in both environmental and nature programs and arts and crafts programs at 56% and 50%, respectively, demonstrates relatively strong community values of nature and creativity. Thirty-nine percent of respondents indicated interest in drop-in arts, crafts, and hobby activities for youth, and 21% of respondents indicated an interest in e-sports and gaming. Sixty-seven percent of respondents indicated an interest in programs for adults aged 18-59, while there was less interest in programs for adults over 60 and early childhood programming, at 36% and 19%, respectively.
