what NPD offers. We have joined Ultimate Ninjas, Dance Studio for Ballet age 12+, Club Lacrosse team for girls. We have joined many programs over the years and if I can't get in the first session or time, I can usually get into to another. Preschool, dance, soccer, basketball, softball, t-ball, birthday parties, Knoch Knolls for scouting events and hayrides, I am very happy with the offerings and can't think of where the programing is lacking for me. But I do not know that is good enough for all residents. It is hard to get children into certain programs. It is very disheartening. There is a capacity issue. So hard to get a desired spot specially for camps and younger ages. Having to sign up at exactly noon on the date to obtain a spot for your child is stressful for many families who work or have other commitments, I don’t know if this means there needs to be more teams and options so everyone can participate? There are never enough spots when signing up for popular sports, like soccer. Exercise classes at Fort Hill are always full. Pickleball is a big part of the community which NPD needs to support. I use the Fort Hill facility quite often. I enjoy taking Zumba Gold, but due to the large number of people in my class we can only meet once a week in the gym due to conflicts with pickleball. The upstairs rooms can only accommodate a few people. There is a Strength and Motion Gold class upstairs, but it fills up very quickly and spots are limited. Availability for recreational toddler age gymnastics and sports classes. Even when signing up at the moment registration opens, it is instantly full. Other toddler sports classes as well. Within 5 minutes sport teams sign-ups are full. I get in because I either coached or was on at that exact time sign-ups are. It should not have to be that way especially if this is for the community!! I also think that the programs offered by NPD fill up too quickly, and there should be an increase in the number of sessions offered. This may be alleviated by creating more facilities. It is very frustrating that availability for certain youth sports is extremely limited. When I sign my children up for basketball or soccer, the teams are typically full & waitlisted in less than a minute after registration opens. I presume this is due to lack of space for practices and games. It's very disheartening to feel so uncertain each season about whether or not my kids will be able to play. The current registration system heavily favors parents who don't work or have flexible work schedules. If I am in a meeting at noon on registration day, I know there are some activities my kids will not be able to do that session because they will be full by the time I can get to my computer. Marketing/Awareness (N = 13) I don’t get any information about opportunities within the Naperville and looking for jobs within Fort Hill has been difficult due to non-communication. I truly wish a printed catalog was sent out. As for marketing strategies, I never received any information on some of the program/facilities unless I looked for the information first. Maybe I need to sign up for your newsletter to find out programs availability I am unsure about the facilities and what is offered for Seniors, especially at Fort Hill.
