APPENDIX VIII: OPEN-ENDED FEEDBACK NAPERVILLE PARK DISTRICT INDOOR RECREATION SPACE NEEDS ASSESSMENT

14

I can comment I have never not felt safe in Naperville. Additionally, I believe these community programs, facilities, events and parks are valuable to the community in that in brings people together and encourages learning and growth especially in children. Parking lots unsafe at school facilities and fort hill. Traffic flow timing also unsafe at fort hill. Because that is what I think is the correct answer. Sportsman's Park is no longer in a culturally acceptable location and must be moved away from NCHS, athletic fields and downtown Naperville. Frustrated by pickleball players on tennis courts at Nike. Outdoor tennis facilities are inadequate and not maintained. DuPage River Park has way too few tennis courts. Coaching experience is completely dependent on the quality of the volunteer. It feels like the fee we pay only pays for field maintenance. Recreational sports classes seem to be offered at inconvenient times when most young children/toddlers nap in afternoon. It seems to be a waste to hire staff at that time for that age group when offering more morning/evening classes would be better utilized.
