PROGRAM INTEREST LEVEL The survey results provide a detailed look into the interests for a variety of program types (Figure 14) . In terms of the types of programs, fitness and wellness programs received the highest interest level at 85%, indicating a very strong community focus on health and fitness. There is also a high level of interest in indoor pool and aquatics programs, with 72% of participants favoring it. This reflects the community’s interest in swimming and water-based activities, which are essential for fitness and recreation. In addition, two-thirds (67%) of respondents indicated an interest in indoor sports and athletics programs. Interest in environmental and nature programs was demonstrated by 64% of respondents, showing substantial appreciation for programs that connect individuals with nature and promote environmental education. Arts and crafts programs show a moderate demand for creative and manual skills development with 53% showing interest in these programs. Similarly, 41% of respondents indicated interest in drop-in arts, crafts, and hobby activities for youth. Only 17% of respondents indicated an interest in e-sports and gaming. In terms of the age group-based interests, 64% of respondents ages 18-59 indicated an interest in more programming for adults age 18-59. Youth programs for ages 5-17 show moderate interest at 54%, while programs for adults age 60 and over showed slightly less interest at 38%. There was least interest (13%) in additional early childhood programming, which aligns with respondents indicating their needs are met for this age group. Other program suggestions included more fitness programs (TRX, fitness, yoga and strength training for adults 55 and older, and indoor aquatic fitness programs), space for teen/young adult programs offered by WDSRA, pickleball, youth theater and performing arts.
