Paid Parental Leave

Flexible Work

Family, sport, charity or other, we believe that everyone has a right to a flexible work environment We recognise that work and life go hand in hand, so creating a work environment that allows people to perform to their very best is important. We are committed to providing you with a flexible and responsive work environment that enables you to make space for the special things in life. We believe by encouraging a working environment that provides mutual flexibility; we will attract, engage and develop a diverse workforce.

Formal and informal flexible working arrangements are available to all staff − no matter who you are. We understand that flexibility is not a one size fits all approach. Our flexible working arrangements include: • Varying start and finish times • Part-time options • Consolidated weeks • Working from home • Job share • Leave and sabbatical • Phased retirement • Customised work schedule (average 80 hour fortnight)

We don’t discriminate on gender, in fact all our people have access to paid parental leave: • 14 weeks paid parental leave for the primary carer, plus any government paid leave you may be entitled to. • 4 weeks paid leave for secondary caregiver, plus any government leave you may be entitled to. (with options to extend to 24 months). • Access to flexible working arrangements. • Up to 52 weeks of paid superannuation based on unpaid parental leave taken. • 12 months unpaid leave

Charity Leave

Boost your leave and enjoy more RNR by purchasing one or two weeks of additional leave in any 12 months. This is available to all full time or part-time employees.

Giving back to the community is as important as working in it. We offer each employee 8 hours of charity leave per calendar year. Take it as a full day, or break it down over 4 days - we are flexible!

Harmonised Long Service Leave*

Cultural & Religious Public Holiday Swap Allowing you the flexibility to balance work and life, you can swap up to two public holidays per calendar year that better align with your beliefs.

Interoffice Exchange Program Our Interoffice exchange program offers an exciting opportunity for our staff to broaden their horizons at one of our many group-wide locations. This program is not just for our technical staff. Our support functions can also capitalise on this opportunity and develop in their chosen fields.

Social Impact

Our Employee Referral Program encourages employees to refer appropriately skilled candidates to WGA for employment opportunities, for current vacancies or for other positions relevant to our business. The reward for a successful referral is a one-off $2,000 gross payment for a candidate who becomes appointed into a permanent position (full time or part-time) or fixed-term position (a minimum period of 12 months) and has successfully passed their probation period.

As a business, the impact we have on our people, clients and community matters. Active Living From office stretching to powerlifting competitions, boot camps, corporate triathlons, and corporate games teams, each of our regions have developed their own unique approach to active living. We’re always open to new fitness ideas and initiatives, so if your passion isn’t represented yet, you’re empowered to shape it and integrate it into our culture.

Committees

Social WGA’s culture shines through in the supportive and enjoyable environment we offer. Each region has an active Social Committee that takes time to plan events and initiatives that allow you and your families time with your colleagues outside of the office. Food, drink and activity-based, there is something for everyone.

Health Our Health Committee shares information and encourages participation in health and wellbeing initiatives across WGA. The committee can provide a full range of support services to employees with a holistic approach.

Safety Our Safety Committee champions a safe work culture and drives change through refined processes in alignment with our mission of ‘We Care’. They are responsible for WGA’s Safety App and supporting procedures to ensure our staff work safe and stay safe.

Environmental

Women of WGA (WoW) WoW aims to address gender diversity at WGA by fostering a supportive community for personal and professional growth. Through female-only mentoring groups, WoW creates safe spaces for sharing experiences and discussing challenges.

Our Environmental Committee focuses on making a tangible difference to our impact on the environment. This dedicated committee is making big changes in how we work, live, and create.
