Man faces 13 charges

During the week of November 11 to No- vember 18, Hawkesbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to many occurrences out of which eight concluded with accusations. A concerned citizen called the Hawkesbury OPP after spotting a man breaking into the garage of his neighbour. Police responded to the scene where they arrested the suspect. The accused is scheduled for bail court on November 21. Racing charges November 19, on Highway 417 in East Hawkesbury, Constable Mario Bourgeois pulled over a 2013 Ford Fusion travelling at 153 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone. A 39-year-old woman from Gatineau was charged with racing a motor vehicle. The car and the driver’s licence were seized for seven days. November 20, again on the 417 in East Hawkesbury, Constable Jonathan Bouchard observed a 2013 BMW 335i travelling at 156 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone. The driver, 40, of Montréal, was charged with racing. His licence and vehicle were seized for seven days.
