Laid inwards in the straight.FLEM 04/11/2023 When questioned rider explained that it was his intention to find cover on the filly and when unable to find a position through the early stages he elected to restrain his mount to the rear of the field to obtain cover. He added whilst trailing Speakeasy throughout the event which ultimately failed to take him forward into the race as he would have liked. He added that from the 800m he elected to maintain his trailing position as to not cover more ground however from the 600m he shifted out to improve his position were the filly finished the race off well. Raced wide, with cover, throughout the middle stages. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. GRAF 13/07/2023 Rdr said mount travelled well however gave ground quickly when under pressure. Post race vet exam revealed no abs. MORN 30/09/2023 Shifted in under pressure appr. WP before being awkwardly placed close to heels. FLEM 05/08/2023 Rdr said mount failed to settle which was detrimental to performance. Post race vet exam revealed no abs. CAUL 18/10/2023
