Dear Friends and Fellow Cattlemen: The Jamison Family welcomes you to our 13th Annual Jamison Ranch Bull and Female Sale! Our Family has been ranching in Creek and Okmulgee Counties for over 125 years, and we are grateful for the foundation in ranching they left us. This year, much like last year, has been a year full of different challenges. We want you to know that we are in the cattle business for the long haul and hope to supply you with good foundation Hereford genetics that are time tested and will work. The base of our Line One cowherd originated from Jamison Herefords in Kansas and we have invested in many top herd bulls from them. We believe in functional, efficient beef cattle that can excel in many different environments and these cattle can do that. Our good friend and neighbor, Bill Stuckert, of Double S Herefords has been using Jamison genetics for many years and works diligently at improving his cowherd. We have been buying his calves at weaning and developing them along with ours. Our goal is and has always been to produce and offer the best Hereford and beef cattle genetics that are well suited for registered and commercial cattlemen alike. We strongly believe in the Line One Hereford Genetics and their place in a crossbreeding commercial program. We realize now, more than ever, that cattlemen must be mindful of their breeding decisions and inputs. In that, we have introduced some polled genetics into part of our herd. The sale bulls have been developed in big pastures on a high roughage diet to ensure their longevity for our customers. If you are looking for long aged Hereford bulls that are hard and ready to go to work, then there is no need to look further. They are all virgin bulls that have been fertility tested and will be trich tested if your state requires it. All of the sale bulls have been developed here at Jamison Ranch since weaning and are fully guaranteed. This year we have once again dug deep into the replacements to offer you an outstanding set of females that will work in many different programs. This is a great set of bred heifers and open heifers and we’ve dug deep in our replacement pen to offer up for your appraisal. We have been selling spring calving commercial bred heifers in volume for many years and this set of young females will make tremendously profitable females for their new owners. My forecast is that the calves these females are carrying will be a quick return on your investment. We believe that now is the time to rebuild your herd and we have been preparing a set of cattle for your appraisal that can do just that. The Hereford breed is historically known for adding an advantage in efficiency while not sacrificing maternal, functional traits that are so important to the sustainability of your program.
