IT IS ALSO CONSIDERED AN ATTRACTIVE OPTION, IT IS COMMONLY USED IN OTHER APPLICATIONS INCLUDING DECORATIVE BALUSTRADING. When working in high corrosive environments it is important to ensure you are using the right products to withstand the harsh conditions. Stainless steel is generally manufactured from both 304 and 316 grade stainless, sourced from the best manufacturers both locally and overseas. At Bunzl Safety we pride ourselves on supplying only quality and consistent stainless steel products. 304 AND 316 GRADE STAINLESS STEEL 304 Grade stainless steel is considered to be a standard grade. It has excellent resistance to corrosion, however has some limitations in higher corrosive environments. 316 Grade stainless steel, also known as marine grade stainless steel, has a higher corrosion resistance than 304 grade stainless steel and is better in harsher corrosive applications, such as salt water environments. It is suitable for food and pharmaceutical processing applications and is commonly used on boats, and coastal environments. Cromox is a brand of innovative high quality stainless steel lifting products made by Ketten Wälder in Germany. Cromox offers real advantages in terms of resistance, in particular with respect to aggressive environments. Cromox stainless steel lifting chain and components are specifically designed for use in water, wastewater and sewerage treatment. Cromox Grade 60 stainless steel lifting chain is manufactured from 316L and 318LN stainless steel and is available in sizes 5mm – 18mm, with a working load limit (WLL) of 630kg to 8000kg.
