Then we remembered that Jesus went about doing good, so we helped Frank to put his toys in the bay window just like he wanted them. We had a good time doing it, too.” “Me happy, too,” and Frank lifted his little tear-stained face to be kissed. “It’s more fun to make people happy than it is to make them unhappy, isn’t it, dears?” “Yes, Mother,” the children cho­ rused. “And we really mean to be like Jesus.” “Dears,” Mother said, “with the help of Jesus, who died and now lives to be your Help, you can be like Him.” —Selected.

Being Like Jesus MATTER how busy Mother was ' she always took time to read some of the wonderful verses from God’s Word to the children after breakfast. Frank was only three years old, but he listened as carefully to the reading as did his older sister and brother, Ruth and Harold. “ ‘Jesus. .. went about doing good,’ ” Mother read on this particular morn­ ing. As she spoke of the Lord Jesus’ kindness to the people who were in trouble, Ruth said, “ I should like to be like Jesus, Mother.” “ And so should I,” added Harold. “Me, too, like Desus,” Frank chimed l n. Children’s Seaside Mission "Down by the side of the beautiful sea, 0 that’s the place where I best love to be; There I learn of the One who died, Jesus Christ the crucified , , This is the theme song of the Chil­ dren’s Seaside Mission which plans to have its 16th mission on the Califor­ nia beaches of Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo, June 17-July 6, with headquarters at 804 Strand, Manhat­ tan Beach. This work is carried on by the stu­ dents of the Bible Institute of Los Angeles under the supervision of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hooker, faculty mem­ bers of the Institute.

The chief purpose of the C.S.M. work is to reach the children of the beaches for Ch r i s t . The L o r d has abundantly blessed t h i s ministry in the past, and the workers earnestly re­ quest prayer that many boys and girls may be reached with the Gospel this summer. Yes, and I will give him some of my keen­ est ‘a g g i e s.’ May I, Mother?” 'Yes, dear.” Ruth waited excitedly for her turn to come. “Mother, I know what I will do to please Jesus. I will be your nurse when you are sick, and take, oh, such big care of you. I will tiptoe about, and not bang any of the doors. I’ll draw down the blinds, too, and lots more I can’t think of right now.” . Mother drew her little would-be nurse to her. “And now, F r a n k , what are you going to do to please Jesus?” Nestling in her arms he said, “Me be dood.” “Now, let us ask Jesus to help us all to be good, and to do good,” Mother suggested, and then she prayed. After Mother finished her work in the kitchen, she went into the living room where the children had played since break­ fast. She noticed how neatly the toys had been arranged in the bay window. “Mother, we have not been good all morning,” Harold confessed. “Sis and I wanted more room
