Child Evangelism Fellowship

I have had the privilege of serving in the ministry of CEF this year. In CEF we learn to weave basic gospel truths into a Bible story, so that we may present the gospel to unsaved children and bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Not to be left out, we challenge the saved children to daily strive in their Chris tian walk. My ministry has been extra special, I have had the opportunity of holding “Good News Club” in Pottersville. Many staff children attend this club and KNOW the Bible stories, but the challenge was in teaching them to apply basic spiritual truths. Not just to be able to give a “fact” from the Bi ble story, but to learn to apply truths to their own lives. It’s been tough, but they have grown and changed, and so have I. “Children are wet cement.” Andrea J. Lindsley Each child is sent into this world by God with a unique message to deliver, a new song to sing, a personal act of love to bestow. A child’s spirit grows in the soil of acceptance and approval, a sense of being loved unconditionally. The greatest need of children is to be loved for themselves. John Powell

Teaching children is really a privilege, but there is also a responsibility involved because we are accountable to the Lord for all that we teach them through our words and actions. Because they learn so much just by watching, they can even detect our attitudes, it is important that the Lord really shines through our lives. Then as they also decide to take a stand for the Lord, He uses them in their homes and many other places that we might think of as being hard to reach. Since God truly works through children, it is important that we place a significance on them and start investing in them for eternity. II Timothy 3:14, 15 Wendy Knabenshue 95 percent of Christians today were saved before the age of twelve. I personally accepted Christ at the age of 5. I fully understood what I did and I knew what would happen to me after death. That is why I believe that Child Evangelism Fellowship is such an important ministry. I have several families come to know Christ because they would listen to the testimony of their children. Matthew 18:10-11 tells us not to forsake the little ones. Jesus wanted the little ones to come un to him. We need to reach the little ones for Him. Christine Collins Being involved with the ministry of Child Evangelism has taught me so much. It has been wonderful to be able to go out each week and share with a group of young people all about my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Many have made decisions for Christ, and many others have grown closer to the Lord. What a privilege we as Christians have to use the love God has instilled within each of us to win souls for Christ.
