Being involved in a prayer band this quarter has been a very beneficial experience for me. The Lord laid upon my heart during the latter part of winter quarter to start up a

so many of the other bands. Rather we were open to however God chose to lead us. It became a devotional and praise time with women whom I may have never had the oppurtunity before to fellowship closely with. It helped me to look beyond my common circle of friends and look into the

prayer group specifically for women. So I set up a time and waited to see what would happen. I think the reason this interested me was because it would be “extra” time for the Lord. It was not a part of the required WOLBI schedule, because of this I felt the Lord could now develop within me the area of

lives of other women and gain from their trials and victories. Together through our time of devotion and prayer we were able to grow closer to the Lord. -Glynn Ruby. (Women’s prayer group)
